I just got this ½” drive speed ratchet. I’m pleased to say that my first impression is positive. Here’s why: 1. The fine ratchet movement (2.5 degrees) allows me to turn a fastener located in some of the most space-restrictive locations. 2. The tool body appears to be made of solid steel and well-fabricated. The overall 12” length is long enough to provide significant leverage, and the barrel at about ¾” diameter is sufficient to withstand high torque without bending (as well as occasional persuasion with a hammer, although I would not suggest this). 3. The reversing lever is easily gripped with the thumb and makes a positive “clicking” sound to indicate engagement. 4. The socket engagement/release button is large and positively engages/disengages sockets, so there is no accidental slip off during use. Ratchet was compatible with other branded sockets too.5. The set is a good value for its intended use.6. Lifetime warranty – what’s not to like? One limitation to consider, the ratchet handle is silky smooth, nice to look at, and easy to wipe free of dirt and grease, but it is slippery when wet. It would be better if the handle incorporated a knurled groove to improve handling under greasy or oily conditions.Overall, this is a good solid quality ratchet for the homeowner, priced right for DIY and professionals too. I would recommend it to others.

A new favorite in my tool box. For the same reasons I acquired my Husky 3/8 ratchet I had to have this 1/2 drive Husky 144 position ratchet. I am not a professional but just an older DIYer-maintaining several tractors and a handful of riding mowers for me and several others. The ratchet is well made and comfortable to use. The longer handle gives me a little more leverage and the socket release button works great. This is now my go to ratchet in my tool box.

Husky quality and Husky warranty are the main two reasons I continue to buy Husky hand tools. They are my go-to tools. The Husky 1/2 drive 144 position ratchet is well built and 12” in length. The handle is slender enough to place a cheater pipe over for added leverage and the handle is strong enough to handle the added leverage. The quick disconnect makes taking sockets off easy and quick. This will be my primary 1/2” ratchet, replacing an aging Craftsman.

This 1/2 ” 144 Tooth Ratchet is just what I’ve been looking for, especially for my applications. Sometimes in real tight places. Thanks Husky & Home Depot!

Great ratchet. Was able to shear x4 3/4” stainless bolts without it breaking, that takes some serious torque with a 1/2” drive, thought for sure it would’ve broken

The Husky 1/2 in. Drive 144-Tooth Pro Ratchet and the Husky 3/8 in. Drive 144-Tooth Pro Ratchet are the newest additions to my toolbox. Any craftsman will tell you buy a quality tool and it will last you a lifetime and I know that to be true I have wrenches and ratchets that have been with me throughout working life and into my retirement. The Husky name brand is a newcomer for me but so far I have been pleased with their products. The ratchets have a good weight and finish very comparable to some of their higher priced competition. Only time will tell if they are as good as they look and they do look good.

Awesome ratchet. The arc swing in close quarters is amazing. It’s very tough. I work in the mines and use it daily. Sometimes with a ratchet extension. I swear by it

I love this Husky 144 position 1/2″ drive ratchet. There have been so many times that I was in a tight spot trying to unscrew a bolt that when I moved the ratchet back and forth, it would not click into the next lock tooth to remove the bolt. Most of my ratchets have 30 to 40 clicks per 360 degree turn. This one has 144! That makes it much easier to remove bolts that do not have a lot of room around them to ratchet. This ratchet lock onto a socket firmly but releases with a touch of a button. It is heavy duty and 11″ long and has a no questions asked lifetime warranty with no receipt needed.

Husky ½” drive ratchet, 144 position. This is a quality ratchet that is solidly made and durable. It has features that are not found on many affordable ratchets. I really like the socket release button and the 2.5 degree swing. It has a beautiful chrome finish. The direction lever is easy to move and stays in place. The shaft is strong enough to handle some heavy torque. Best of all it has a lifetime warranty! This is an excellent tool for my toolbox.

Nice ratchet and a great add to the toolbox. It has an easy push button release for any 1/2 inch socket. I have not had a chance to use this yet, but just from testing it with a few sockets and on a couple of bolts, it’s solid fit. The smooth handle is my only concern but in general I always wear a pair of work gloves when doing actual work, so I would recommend something with a good rubber grip to avoid slipping.

the Husky 1/2 inch drive 144 tooth ratchet has all of the features you would want in a quality hand tool,a full polished chrome handle, a tear drop low profile head with 144 tooth ratcheting for ease of use in tight spaces, and a quick release button for ease of attaching or removing sockets. the ratchet is 11 inches long, has good weight to it and comes with a no receipt required lifetime warranty. i am completely satisfied with this tool and feel it is a great addition to my 1/2 inch socket set.

I purchased this 1/2 inch ratchet because of the 144 tooth ratcheting mechanism, and it appears to be a high quality copy of the Snap-On brand ratchet. It would be great if Husky brand tools would offer a longer handled (18-20 inch) 1/2 inch 144 tooth ratchet as well .

I like the ratchet quite a bit, the fact that it has about double the normal amount of “clicks” (144) with an arc of just 2.5 degrees between clicks is REALLY nice for tight areas. Judging by the internals that has two pawls instead of one, I would expect it would be a little weaker in the gear area than a standard 72 tooth wrench, but if you are working in a tight area that is not really a concern. The handle is nicely shaped and easy on the hands, the control lever works fairly smoothly but could be a smidge taller to make it easier to operate. It has a push button that you have to push to either put on or take off a socket. It would be nice not to have to push the button to put the sockets on. The push button is nice and flat and does not get in the way, however because of that it is a little difficult to operate the button one handed. To operate the release button your finger has to go down in the relief, my thumb was too big to make it work, so I found myself holding the ratchet with one hand and pushing the button with a smaller finger on my other hand. The finish is nice and smooth, but I still prefer a rougher finish on my tools. The wrench is about 12″ long and the head is about 1 5/8″ wide and about 3/4″ thick. All in all a nice wrench that is great in tight area but could stand just a little refinement in the ergonomic area.

Professional/commercial quality half inch drive ratchet. At 144 positions per 360 degrees or 2.5 degree arc swing it provides very fine control in tight spaces where there isn’t much room for ratcheting. It’s nicely weighted and feels comfortable in the hand. Extremely well made and should handle the rigors of most applications. The finish is nicely polished and smooth. A socket snaps on easily, feels secure (won’t come off inadvertent). Overall, a nice addition to any toolbox.
