Really nice socket. Has a quality finish on the outside and on the inside as well. Some cheap sockets often have less protection on the inner surfaces. The 12 point is really helpful on these larger size sockets since you are usually using a longer breaker bar and this helps in tight places where range of motion may be limited. My aging eyes also really appreciate Husky using deep embossing of the large size identification numbers. See the picture below. I can’t say how it will hold up over the years but it sure looks made to last.

This is definitely one of the heaviest sockets I have ever picked up. They wasted no metal when making these. They are heavy and durable. They seem to have a real thick chrome plating on them also which will also make them hold up for a long time. I have a bolt that Ive been needing to remove but the other brand of deep socket wasn’t deep enough so this one did the job

Excellent socket constructed with high quality materials. I only need this size occasionally, but it is very nice to have it in my toolbox for the times I do. I have a large selection of hand tools and always welcome an excuse (as if I really need one) to add to my collection. It really works well aNd even though not frequently needed it is still nice to know that it is in the drawer waiting patiently. Definitely recommend, there are many sizes available.

I would have rated this 1/2 inch 29MM deep socket excellent instead of good if the socket is impact socket. Still a great tool as long as you are using standard ratchet or break bar tool. The 12 point gives option to use this socket with more than one type of bolt or nut. The Chrome finished makes it easy to clean specially when grease gets the tool. Still happy with the product.

Well built socket. Chrome finish looks a mile deep. Has a deep broach for using on large diameter bolts with small high torque nuts. Made heavy enough that I would not hesitate to apply maximum torque, but thin enough to use in a confined area. I like the 3/8″ tall size numbers engraved into it, makes it easy to pick it out without straining your eyes. Lifetime Warranty is a good bonus. Jus take it to your Home Depot.

Nothing wrong with it per se. I am merely noting that for this size socket, it may as well be made available in an impact rated version. Larger bolts will require tons of torque, so it really does not make sense to own it as “non impact rated” and there is no downside to an impact rated version. (other than maybe a higher price)I found it in an impact rated version elsewhere and returned this one. Also, for large sockets 6 pointwould make more sense than 12 point. Slightly un-related: what happenend to the 28 mm version? It is like an unicorn.

Husky tools is one of my favorite choice for auto repairing and around the house repairing too. Affordable price and in good quality and design mechanic tools. This time I try on this 29 mm deep socket with 12 point, that is well to do on my truck work. because of the chamfered lead-in design, it works all the time without socket slip off from the socket wrench. It lock perfectly. this 12 point get me better work under the control arm tight area that is 6 point cannot work for it. Less expensive but reliable tools, that is the way Husky tools which I like the most.

I have a set of deep socket from another brand that is missing the 29MM. Glad that this size is available from Husky. It is sold as deep socket but it is only 3″ long or the socket is around 2″ deep. The outside diameter is around 1.5″. If you are working in a tight spot, you know how this will fit in your situation. Since the manufacturer offer “no-question asked” life-time warranty, quality of the socket should not be an issue. You just hope the company will last “your” life-time.

The is a very high quality great deep well socket. It has a lifetime warantee and sold at a store that’s going to be around for the long haul. If somehow you do manage to break it just simply bring it into your local store and they will warantee it. The size is nicely stamped into the side making it easy to read making your life easier not guessing at what size it is. It’s a great value and and a great tool.

I had been looking for some larger metric deep sockets for use on my tractor. This 29 mm deep socket fits my needs. 29 mm is a popular size, approximately in inches, 1 9/64 so this makes a great addition to my tool box. The socket itself is well built. It’s constructed of chrome moly so it is easy to maintain. This is the 1/2″ drive socket size.I’ve picked up a few Husky tools the last few years and with their lifetime warranty they are a good investment!

These Husky sockets are very well-made. They are heavy and feature a smooth, shiny chrome finish. Each socket has the size machined into the side just above the base and it is displayed in large size numbers that are easy to identify and read.A deep, 12-point socket makes this the choice when you need a socket that will firmly grip the large size of the fastener and have room for the length of the bolt that might be protruding such that a standard socket would not reach the nut.I would not hesitate to buy a socket from this Husky line.
