First it is sturdy and very well built. I needed the larger 1/2 size which was missing in my toolbox so the Husky offering was a good choice at a nice price. The 12 point socket should be helpful in not rounding off stubborn nuts on projects that might need a little extra leverage to remove. The finish is great and compared to the more expensive brand names this is a perfect fit for someone like me who is a DIYer weekend user. Nice lifetime warranty (same as the bigger names)

I already have a nice set of chrome plated sockets in my possession, but neither of them are of the deep well variety!And I have quite a few devices that have long screws that require nuts to be attached to them. None of my nice sockets fit those screw nut combinations, and I have to fumble around with an open box wrench in the tight spaces those bolt and nut are located in. Until I found these nice deep well sockets, now those nuts are not a problem for me anymore, and the knuckles of my hands are very grateful for this!

It never fails that when it comes to working on my vehicles, each project needs yet another socket I do not own. This time around I needed deep sockets to fit bolts around 30 to 32 mm. This socket fit the bill nicely. The 12 point design allows for the socket to fit over a variety of different bolt heads. The points only extend 3/4 in deep into the socket and the total depth of the interior is about 2 inches. The socket is well made and very durable. I’m confident it will last a lifetime. I also bought a 32 mm deep socket which also has similar characteristics. And would also recommend.

This socket works really well, it has a nice chrome finish and it is made nice heavy and solid steel. It fits nice and snug on the 30mm nuts and bolts that it is designed to fit, It also fits well and locks on a 1/2 drive wrench just like it should. It uses the flank drive type of engagement to the bolt or nut so there is less chance of stripping your bolt or nut. It is about 3 1/4″ long, about 1 7/16″ outside diameter and weighs about 15.25 ounces. The drive splines inside go the full depth of the socket, I prefer sockets that don’t have the splines the full depth as it is easier to start nuts and bolts that way. All in all does just what it is supposed to do.

I recieved this socket at the same time I recieved the 32 mm deep socket which I beat on pretty hard doing a couple of jobs. The 30 mm I have used once on a light job, but used it well enough to know that it is going to hold up as well as the 32 mm one. The socket seems to be made of a really hard materiel, the chrome is top notch and the number is there to stay so no confusion in your tool cart. I hope to give this one a punishing workout soon, I have no doubts on the quality or if it will hold up to abuse. Thanks Husky for an affordable alternative to the over priced names.

This is definitely one of the heaviest sockets I have ever picked up. They wasted no metal when making these. They are heavy and durable. They seem to have a real thick chrome plating on them also which will also make them hold up for a long time. I have a bolt that Ive been needing to remove but the other brand of deep socket wasn’t deep enough so this one did the job

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Used it to torque the drag link nut to 465 lbs as required. Fits tight releases immediately thanks to its interior design. Missing one star for fit and finish. Bright chrome but the size and name inscription is off and fades. This is a good value tool

this socket is the right size. however in regards to the DEEP aspect it is a little bit of a disappointment. if this were an impact socket i would understand however it is not listed as one. it could be deeper than it is. i will say that it is very well built. the size is in big numbers on the outside. this is a very sturdy socket. no concern about it not lasting even though it does have a lifetime warranty. all in all it is a great buy.

Thanks, Home Depot, for carrying these larger size Metric Deep Sockets. Every now and then I run into something working on my orange tractor that needs something larger than what is in my Husky Metric Set. This socket is rugged and well made. It feels heavy, ready for the job. Being 12-point, this socket is easier to use than the six-point metric sockets that I’ve used in the past. You can really put some torque to this guy. I really like the large print socket size engraved on the side of the socket that is clearly visible, even for me. This socket is ready for serious work so purchase with confidence. This massive Husky ½’ drive 30 mm 12 point deep socket comes with a lifetime warranty. I have great confidence that I will never have reason to use that warranty. The socket has wall thicknesses similar to those of an impact socket of similar size. The exterior is nicely chrome plated and the size is clearly marked in 3/8 inch numerals etched into the barrel. While I have filled the etch with black paint to make the numbers even more easily readable most users will likely find that not necessary.

This Husky 30 MM 12 point deep socket in 1/2 inch drive is a great addition to my tool chest. It is very beefy and feels strong enough to take on my car repairs. The chrome finish makes it easy to clean after use. The 12 point socket fits very well on bolts and nuts and I do not worry about it slipping or stripping. The 12-point makes it easier to get the exact position in tight places. I have a number of Husky tools in my tool box and I am very happy with their performance.
