These are a nice socket and seem slightly deeper than most standard sockets, a definite plus. Large engraved numbers on the side are great when fumbling for the right size in the dimly lit underside of a car. They seem to be a good quality, have a nice chrome finish that is easy to wipe off, and do the job. Don’t be too quick to dismiss 12-point sockets as being too thin-walled. In many applications only a thinner 12-point will work, like tight clearances or when you only have a narrow range of movement for the wrench. If your bolt is really rusted or already chewed up, then I would certainly opt for the 6-point and then replace it, but that’s the only real reason not to use a 12 point in my opinion. The package states that they are guaranteed forever. I’ve been burned a few times by this claim, once when the side of the socket blew out (6-point) and a couple others when the 12-points rounded off, only to find that brand A was no longer in business and brand B no longer sold the same item. Hopefully Home Depot will be around for a good long while to honor this claim (but probably not forever).Overall I am satisfied and would buy these, especially since you can get single sockets at a very reasonable price for an odd size where you don’t need an entire set.

Husky sockets are strong easy to use. I tested both standard and metric and really like the extra grip of these 12 point sockets. I use 1/2 inch sockets on most of the jobs I do so getting a set that is strong and snaps on and off easer and hold the head of a bolt better make any job very easy!! I am very pleased with the husky brand name, you will love this set!!

When you are buying a socket this big, you probably arent using it every day. This, for what its worth, is the socket you need to remove the mower blades from most of the MTD lawn tractors. But at under 3 bucks, its a far cry better than goijg to snap-on or mac.

Got a set of those Husky 12 points just after busting two name brand sockets attempting to remove some stubborn cylinder head bolts. Was at a point where I was stuck trying to remove that cylinder head without doing any damage to the aluminum engine block. I’m so happy and relieved that 19mm Husky 12point socket took the more than 250ftlbs of torque it took to break those bad boys loose without breaking, slipping, or earning some busted knuckles for the effort. I’ll reach for those Husky sockets any time a tough job is required instead of those low grade “guaranteed 100% replacement” sockets sitting in my tool chest. A guarantee is of no value when you have a busted tool right in the middle of a project over a holiday weekend, or any weekend for that matter. Save yourself some trouble; and a busted socket or knuckle or two and get yourself a Husky 12 point socket set. They’ve been put through some serious tough tests and you won’t have any regrets.

I had never used a 12-point socket prior to trying this one and I have to say I am never going back to my old sets! I used this on a nut and bolt I couldn’t see but could feel with a Husky 1/2 in 100 point ratchet (which I love! Check it out by searching this 206034100). I had no trouble getting this on tightly and easily. It’s very convienent. I’m also a big fan of Husky’s warranty. 100% coverage for life. I don’t know about you but I’ve broken a lot of these in my day – either stripped or even cracked – and I appreciate that I can simply get a free replacement.
