Wanted to update my socket set and this was a good value at this price point. It is a sturdy yet economical set. I use it only for home use and working on my cars which these sockets performed well. I only wish that it was a double set with metric sockets as well. But if you are looking for a quality affordable socket set for home use then this is one to consider.

The small grub screw holding the hex bit in place, keeps loosening during impact driving/loosening procedures.Guess it could be thread locked in place or center punched in place. I suppose the hex bit could be removed and used with a wrench in tight spots.Hex bit held up so far after 2 uses.

I needed a 1/2 inch hex drive to install a step bumper on my truck. This worked perfectly for me.

They are strong and work well the only problem is the set screws keep coming loose when using them, so I put some lock tite on the set screw

Nice heavy duty large hex sockets. Good for getting torque with torque wrench on large socket head bolts.

Husky tools have always seemed to be good quality. I am not a professional, but do quite a bit of DIY/ mechanical work. So, moderate usage. Better than off brands and allowed me to put significant torque without any slippage. Would recommend.

These sockets look to be well made . I’ve only used the 5/8 size so far and it worked well . The set screw that holds the bit in place worked loose while I was using it . I tightened the screw and it was fine after that . I would recommend keeping an eye on the set screws especially the first few times the sockets are used . I like that you can flip the bits over or change the bit if damaged . I mean Home Depot would most likely replace it if damaged , but the option of being able to do it might get the job done NOW . I imagine you could also remove the allen bit in a pinch and use them as a 6 point socket .

This Hex bit set was a much needed deal. I was working on rebuilding the corn head and they came in very handy. The plugs to check the gearbox lube are now hex head. the plugs are steal and the gear box casing is aluminum. That means they can be a bear to get out due to the corrosion. Put the right bit on the impact and no effort need to just spin the plugs right on out. The bits tips being replaceable is just a huge bonus. Just awesome. I haven’t found a bad thing on this product yet.
