Great for impacting nuts on flanges and valves

I absolutely could NOT have done the job without this tool. It seems the part needing replacement is always at an odd angle from the only possible direction to reach it. Enter the U-Joint! Makes the impossible fairly easy.

Worked exactly as it needed! Sturdy and effective.

It has taken a beating behind the milwaukee electric impact and has not loosened up or anything.

I purchased this for my breaker bar. It turns smooth and steady even at about 20 degrees. Plus, with the Husky lifetime warranty, you can’t go wrong.

Will be using this product almost daily at my job. Will see how long it will hold up and if it can handle the impact.

This is a very well made knuckle joint. It’s pinless, which means that it doesn’t have the weaker, single pin connector that ends up failing. This design spreads the pressure over a larger area of the tool, making it tougher and longer lasting. These are a must have for any toolbox, helping you to get to those hard to reach areas. The size is clearly marked on the outside. Perfect for any impact tools. If it fails, they’ll give you another one. You can’t beat that.

Like the design and the warranty

Beat the metal out of it with the 1/2 heavy impact and it didn’t break. Got the job done.

This U-Joint is stout enough for my power driver and smooth enough to use with my ratchet set. I have needed one for a while but rather than making a trip to the store found several different work arounds, Here is a good addition to my power socket set that will also work well with my large socket set. I like the design, it looks and feels like it will last longer than I will.

Appears to be of high quality. Needed it to get in to a tight area.

This “pinless” drive (using four curved lobes which bear upon “tabs” in the mating piece) is well made and appears to be able to handle the arduous duty for which it is intended. Unlike the typical universal joint used for non-impact use (employing two orthogonal pinned joints), this purpose made part eliminates the pivot pin which is prone to failure when used in impact duty. Instead, the four lobe output shaft mates with four integral bosses on the input collar, resulting in an increased load bearing area. To evaluate the durability, the joint was interposed between a 750 lb-ft impact wrench and a 1-1/4 inch socket to continue impacting the fastener after it “bottomed out” (see video). After this endurance test, there was only minor scuffing of the internal contact points. The tool comes with a lubricant coating, however it is anticipated that with use, cleaning and re-lubrication will be necessary. The open construction will make cleaning and re-lubrication an easy task. Strangely, there is no recommendation from the manufacturer as to the proper lubrication to use. As this part is covered by a lifetime warranty, this is not a major concern. This joint is intended for use with wrenches and sockets using pin-detent type retention. The detent ball on the drive end allows easy installation and removal of the socket onto the joint.

This impact u-joint is constructed differently from the standard u-joint that your socket wrench set comes with. It is not only of much beefier construction, but it is a completely different design. Instead of the regular pins through a block, this has a sort of interlocking ribs design (see photos) which appears to be much stronger. It is more bulky but will still allow you to get your impact wrench into places where you couldn’t otherwise. It has worked fine for me so far.
