The Husky 1/2 in. Drive SAE, Metric and Torx Bit Socket Set (9-Piece) contains larger size hex and Torx bit socket to help complete heavy duty projects. Each of the bits are heat treated and set into a CR-V steel base to hold up to even the most demanding jobs. Bit sockets give you the advantage of accessing fasteners with the reach and tight arc swing of a ratchet that standard folding or L-keys just can’t match.

I use my tools as an advanced DIY-er. I don’t make my living with them I needed the 17mm Hex socket sizes and T-60 for a job and this whole set costs what the two sizes individuality would have cost me. I’m not a tool snob and am happy with these sockets and their price. They fit the task at hand and seem to be relay good quality. Only complaint they are falling off of the storage rack (is plastic) I’m afraid that I will loos them accidentally. Other than that I would buy again and best of all Husky tool come with LIFE TIME Warranty.

I have many Husky tools and I love them all and this Husky 1/2 in. Drive SAE and Metric Socket Set is no exception. These 1/2″ drive sockets are big time heavy duty. Each socket is stamped with large size numbers for easy reading of them. The sockets are designed to help prevent rounding of a nut or bolt head. The finish on them makes it easy to clean off grease and oil. The finish also helps with corrosion resistance. Husky guarantees their tools with a lifetime warranty so if one of the sockets should fail they will replace it for free. Here is what you get in this set. The deep SAE goes from 7/16″ to 1 1/8″ and the standard SAE goes from 7/16″ to 11/4″. The deep Metric goes from 10 mm to 24 mm. For what ever reason Husky did not include a 13mm socket. The standard Metric goes from 13 mm to 32 mm. All of the SAE are 6-point and all the Metric are 12-point. You will have to purchase some socket organizers as the sockets just come in clear plastics.

Heavy Duty tools for heavy duty work. This socket set may not be for everyone, until you need them. The Torx and Hex bits are on the larger sizes and are very well made of chrome vanadium steel like most top of the line mechanics tools. If all you have is a 3/8 drive ratchet a very inexpensive adapter can be bought to use these 1/2 drive sockets. The plastic strip they come attached to should really be metal but it’s not an issue for me. With a lifetime warranty and a very reasonable purchase price I highly recommend this socket set.

This is a robust set. One set per non-reusable poly bag, clearly marked. If you don’t throw them into a bin, you’ll want to stock up on some socket strips.Fit and finish very good. Socket sixes are stamped [not printed]; legibility could be improved, but easily improved with a wipe of contrasting material [shoe polish, paint, ink].The deep sockets have a relief built into the ‘drive side’ that makes insertion easy. The shallow sockets have a positive dent to hold securely. I received this Husky set as in photos. I was sent by mail with the nine piece set missing four items. I was able to use the set as sent and as all Husky tools then work very well even on torqued bolts that were originally torqued to 85 foot pounds. These are nicer than I expected. I needed the T55 for a project and this set was only slightly more than I could get just one socket I needed. I wasn’t expecting much but the drive fit perfectly and I was able to complete my project. The Hex heads are both Standard and Metric and it comes with a socket holder which holds all nine sockets. Even if I never use them again I’m happy with them to finish the project I had.

First I want to say that I own many Husky brand tools that I got from Home Depot. I almost can’t wait for the Black Friday specials every year so I can expand my collection. Each of those tools have been excellent and I have never had one fail. It’s nice to know that Husky guarantees their hand tools for life if one ever does break. This 52 piece Husky 1/2 inch drive SAE and Metric Socket Set is another excellent high-quality tool set. There are SAE sockets from 7/16 to 1 1/4 inches and Metric sockets from 10mm to 32mm in a combination of standard depth 6 point and deep well 12 point. They are finished in a highly polished chrome and have large size markings. The SAE sockets also have a ring embossed on them for easier identification. The Metric sockets have two rings on them. These sockets also feature off-shoulder loading so that fasteners aren’t rounded off when extreme torque is applied. I really wished that I had bought a set like this earlier because I have needed quite a few of these larger sockets in the past few years. My oil filter cap size is 27mm, my axle nut is 32mm and my trailer hitch ball is 1 1/8 inch. You should be aware that this is a set that does not include a ratchet or storage box. It is best suited for larger roll-around tool boxes that have pull-out drawers for storage. If you work on cars, boats and other mechanical equipment you will soon appreciate this large assortment of sockets. It will come in very handy. I really like this set and highly recommend it.

These heads are ready to go, right out of the package. They are a half inch socket drive so you should be able to apply plenty of torque for your toughest projects. I only wish they had a larger assortment of bit drivers. The plastic strip they come attached to is not the most durable thing. If it’s just sitting on a shelf above your work bench, you should be fine. I don’t see it holding up knocking around a tool bucket carried around on the job site.
