I needed a 3/8″-drive socket for my motorcycle’s rear axle & this socket filled the bill. I’d rather buy a U.S. produced tool, but the price on this socket was hard to beat. I also like the large, easy-to-read lettering.

Metric, 6-point, 3/8″ drive socket is in-line with quality of other big-box retailers sockets on the market; for about 1/3 less. Fits 15mm nuts well with a nice lead-in to aide with aligning the socket. Socket is deeply engraved with the size to make identification in your tool box easy. Chrome finish.

Probably the most used socket I have at work. I lost the last one under a conveyor. It works as designed. With the warranty and price, how can you go wrong. Unless you loose it!

I picked these up because I often have a preference for a 6 point socket when I can find the right sized one at hand. This was a good selection of sizes and they are all the 6 point style. I must have 6 or 7 sets of sockets from assorted manufacturers over the past 35 years. It’s a big mix of styles, types and sizes and some I’ve managed to keep complete while others have had a few lost over time. So it’s good to get a full set of 6 pointers to assure I can just glance at one set and get what I’m after for most jobs. I tried these with 5 different ratchets from 5 different manufacturers – some quick release some not. The best one I had was a Grip brand ratchet while the others ran the gamut from there down to the very very cheap. I also tried them with some Craftsman extensions I had. They fit everything I tried them with smoothly and snugly. They fit tight on the quick release ratchets and released easily. The 6 point gave me a good grip. The only thing I see that perhaps could use a little improvement was the imprinting on them. The type is large and bold which I really like since my vision stinks without reading glasses. But the thing that could be a little better is that while on some the size markings are solid and deep looking on others they appear a little on the light side and a tad faint making them a little harder to read. On those fainter ones I have to be pickier about how I hold it to the light to read it. The consistency there could fare just a little better. I would think those fainter shallower markings could possibly wear down over time with heavy use. But at my age I don’t think that will be a problem for me. They’ll likely last longer than me if I take decent care of them. All in all these compare very favorably with the Grip set that I have. They appear to be about the same quality but the writing on these is a little larger if not as deep so it is a little easier to read. The Grip set I have is complete and kept in its case when not in use and they are all 6 point sockets also but they do not cover quite the size span that these do and more of them are the deep well type. So this set compliments that set well and gives me a bit more variety in sizes.

These 3/8 in. Drive 6-Point Standard Sockets (22 SAE and Metric sizes) from Husky are really very good high quality sockets. I own several different Husky socket sets, both in standard and deep well. Husky’s sockets have always been very high quality and have worked well. The reason for only four stars is they did not come with any type of socket racks. All my other Husky sockets has come with one.

I love all my sockets and use them regular on some kind of project I’m working on. The lifetime warranty is great so if something happens to one I can get it replaced. Very good socket set to have around home when you need them to work on something. I use them to work on small projects to big projects and they all work very well for me no complaints it.

This (19mm size) is a very nice SHALLOW socket. Shallow is important when dealing with narrow access areas. I combined this with a 3/8″ drive breaker bar and this is the PERFECT tool for my two Toyotas belt tensioner. What used to be a knuckle-scraping squeeze struggle becomes easy and quick.
