This socket set works great with my M18 Fuel 3/8″ impact driver. I’d been making do for a little bit with a chrome vanadium set of sockets, and just hoping they wouldn’t shatter. This chrome molybdenum set is much more up to the task. Plus, you can’t beat the Husky lifetime warranty – just take them back to HD for a replacement if they break! They’re a little tough to get onto a friction ring anvil, but after a bit of coaxing they’ll pop right on. Once they’re on, they’ve got good retention. There’s also a hole for a pin detent as well. The sizes are stamped onto the sides, so they won’t wear off. They’re a little difficult to read though, it may have been nice if Husky had chased the stamping with a little paint too. The 7/16″ socket also had a bad stamp job, and the “16” is barely legible.I do really like the design of the socket interior, with the rounded oversized corners that reduce fastener head rounding off. It’s just the flats making contact, which helps keep your fastener nice and pretty with no damage to the corners.Oh, and just one more note – this is definitely a standard set, and not metric, unlike the product description bullet points on Home Depot’s website claiming “Set contains Metric Sizes only.”

I’ve only used the item so far on a brake job. It worked well and zero kickback when I was tightening up the bolts. So far a great purchase!

Sockets have been great so far but the plastic base shattered when dropped from about 4 feet.

Well made set of impact sockets, guaranteed forever! The kit includes a carrier and the sockets are flank-drive so they won’t round off you nuts. They appear to be of high quality and should last me the rest of my life. I have used these with air impact tools as well as battery powered impact tools and they performed flawlessly. great tools at a great price!

The 3/8 in. Drive Standard SAE Impact Socket Set (9-Piece) set a very good set. The casting of the pieces feel very heavy, but in the good way. I use them while working on my car and they have been able to handle the stress and the strain. My only wish on the set would be if it was expanded a bit more out to the bigger sizes, in order to handle more of my car workload.

Great quality but I didn’t realize it didn’t come with a 16mm and that ruined it for me. Not a fan of sets that aren’t complete. Don’t know why they would do that I’d pay more for a complete set.

Excellence socket set.

I used the sockets to remove an old exhaust system that was pretty rusted. The sockets bit in well and removed the hardware with ease. I also like the rail they came on. A bit better than the spring metal retainer on my other socket rails. When you are under a car, simplicity is appreciated.
