The 3-Piece SAE Socket Rack Set from Husky seems to be a really good way to organize your sockets. The set comes in 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ drive sets. They also are arranged for standard and deep sockets. The posts are clearly marked. And arranged in the socket size order. They also come with a hanger slot for mounting on the wall. Husky tools are known for producing a quality product. And the set comes with a lifetime warranty. I must say that I have a couple of drawbacks. One is that they are made of plastic, and I really don’t know if they would survive a fall off the wall. Also, if mounted on the wall the socket posts are at 90 degrees and I could see the sockets being easy to slide off the posts. But if you mount the sets on the top of your workbench. This would not be a problem.

I got these SAE socket rack set for my unorganized roller toolbox. Sockets were thrown in the correct drawer but hard to find what you needed when you needed it. I use ½”, 3/8” and ¼” socket/ratchets all the time.. Most of my sockets sizes are not easily seen well from the manufacturer and you have stop, look closely to read the size. This slows down any job I am doing. Now, I can see clearly what size the sockets are and if I need a long or short barrel. Although, I don’t yet have all the sockets these racks can hold. A nice organized addition to my toolbox

I decided to give these a try after being disappointed with other storage systems in the past. I’ve tried rails, the cutout trays, and other socket organizers like these. My most current efforts we a set like this from HF that I was not very satisfied with. This set from Husky would have been perfect for me except for a few issues I came across. On the 3/8 drive SAE the 1/4″ socket will not fit on the pedestal. I tried both my Craftsman and then pulled a Husky one out of a travel set and that one did not fit either. On the 1/4″ drive SAE set the 9/16″ deep socket will not fit on the pedestal. The last issue I had was the 3/8″ drive sets would not fit in the short drawers in my Craftsman tool chest with a liner. When I removed the liner they JUST barely clear the drawer above it. The pedestals for the deep sockets should be about 1/8″ shorter. They would then clear with a liner and clear with better clearance without a liner. One note, I see some reviews say the sockets are wobbly when place in the holder, the holders are designed to have the sockets sit with the drive end up. At first I found this a little off putting but as I set them up I grew to appreciate this feature. It allows the sockets to be more stable in the holder and it puts the size marking on the socket at the top if you ever need it. You probably won’t ever need to read the marking on the socket as the tops of each pedestal are nicely marked with the socket size. I am overall generally happy with these but they are not perfect. They will probably be my last attempt at organizing and I will see if I can modify them to fit the sockets that don’t go on.

This is the perfect way to organize your sockets. As you can see by my pictures that all my sockets were in drawers rolling around loose. So every time I needed A certain size the search was on. And sometimes it was easier to just buy another socket than to find one. That is over now I just have to look at the top of the socket holders and it is marked and organized even my 10mm that seems to always walk away on its own

The HUSKY SAE SOCKET RACK SET (3-PIECE) is a great product and a great way to keep all your sockets organized. My product arrived well packaged and undamaged. As I started organizing my sockets-I realized that I’m missing a few-time to make a trip to my local Home Depot and purchase my missing sockets. I really like that it has embossed socket sizes at the top of the plastic stem for easy viewing of the size socket you may need at the time. This is really going to make projects go easier and smoother as you will never have to dig through your sockets again looking for the correct size. Great product Husky!!

These take up considerably more space than rails, but if you’ve got the room for it, these socket racks are a pretty good way to stay organized. They are, to my way of thinking, backwards, as the size decreases from left to right. They’re also designed so that the sockets are meant to be stored drive-end up, which (again, to my way of thinking) is upside down since the numbers on the socket are engraved to read the other way. Perhaps it’s just my OCD that is the problem there. The quality of the plastic isn’t super-great, but these are clearly meant not to be portable, so they shouldn’t have to withstand too much abuse. Each rack has a hole in it that looks like you should be able to hang it on a wall, but if you used it for that, the sockets would probably not stay on.Overall, these do a pretty good job of what they’re suppose to do at reasonable price point, and they’re definitely better than trying to dig through the bottom of your toolbox every time you need a socket

Great Socket Organizing Racks. Clear white sizes angled for easy reading. Slot for hanging, which is great for intermittent use. Pegs cover range of most used sizes. Small base footprint. Great for portability. Selected these racks to keep sockets handy in tool bags on jobs they are needed. Taking a selection of sockets for a specific job has been an issue- they get lost in the bottom of the bag and taking a full set along is often unnecessary, so these racks solve a problem. Not how they’re typically used, racks too tall to fit smaller rolling tool chest-cabinet combo’s I have, they do work well in tool bags, which I primarily take to jobs, including auto repairs. Racks keep sockets organized and handy. Issues with the racks- some smaller inexpensive sockets don’t slide down shaft, size letters although white are not easily read from above, on ground, but even when on workbench unless at a distance. Some ½ sockets higher than peg. Angled peg base doesn’t tend to let sockets sit vertical, they lean. Otherwise, satisfied with the racks as they perform very well for use in tool bags without taking up much space. Allowing only those sockets needed to be selected while keeping sockets organized and handy. Racks meet expectations.
