Haven’t used it yet, (as of 4/2018) but overall quality seems fine, comparable to older Sears Craftsman tools. Lifetime guarantee is great. Only problem is that the website says the set contains “surface drive technology” wrenches and I received standard wrenches. The surface drive technology was one of the main selling points as to why I bought this set. Will cost quite a few dollars to update to the wrenches I want, but still a good deal. Either the website contains incorrect info or the wrong wrenches were packed in the box. The 2 CSRs I talked to at the store were very nice and helpful…even ordered me a second set to try and get the correct wrenches.

Good assortment of tools, not a lot of garbage filler aside from some ridiculously tiny wrenches. Convenient adds like some Torx sockets that might be overlooked assembling a set piecemeal.I’ve owned Husky mechanics tools since they first came out, have had good experience with occasional warranty returns – if the store sells the individual part like a single cracked socket it’s as easy as Sears was back in the day. I recently bought a new house with a garage, grabbed a large chest, and decided to fill it up with a new set rather than trying to build on the smaller sets I’ve kept for years in my cars. This fit the bill and just about filled up my new box (added screwdrivers, pliers, and a few other things) with everything I’m likely to need aside from some vehicle-specific specialty things I already have. Only complaints – the markings on this set are MISERABLE, my photo doesn’t do justice to how hard they are to see with the naked eye, and it really would have been nice to get some socket and wrench racks because the set was designed to fill up a box. Maybe some ball ends on the long hex keys would have been nice, I’ll probably swap out my better Bondhus Allen keys and keep the ones with this kit in my travel box.

I purchased this set for a tool cart I am building for my grandson. It was the most complete set for the money. More than one one reviewer gave it top marks and for a starter set, it is something I wish I would have had when I started out. I put this set (in my personal opinion) at the top of the mid-price mechanic’s sets that are out there. since most are made off shore, these have the best finish and feel that I have found. When you really look at what you get, it is really a good bargain. Online price is about $350, and I will admit I was watching this set in the clearance isle and got it for less, but I will probably get another set for the online price. The inclusion of the ratchet combo wrenches, flex head ratchets and the TORX/Allen/driver sockets is what really sold me on this set. It just comes with some many more useful pieces than the others.
