I purchased these, and a set of metrics, to use with a small torque wrench when working on small engines. They work well, the finish is very nice and they should last years. They would be even better if both sets included more sizes.

This is an excellent 1/4 in. Drive Metric Hex Bit Socket Set. There are 8 pieces, including a nice holder strip, so they don’t roll around loose in my toolbox. They seem to be well made, very heavy and solid construction. You have a good assortment of bits to use depending upon the project you have in mind. Now I won’t have to drive twenty or thirty miles to a hardware store when I need a particular bit.

These SAE (imperial) ¼” drive hex driver sockets are great. The chrome is sturdy and not flaky. The tips are chamfered to make them easy to position. The flutes and cuts are straight and accurate so they grip fasteners well. They lock onto whatever ¼” drive tool or accessory that I have. The plastic rail is handy for storage. These sockets live on the rail in a drawer in my toolbox. The plastic rail doesn’t hold very securely, but it’s a nice way to know if I have any sockets that are absent. I recommend this set.

I got the 8 piece Husky 1/4 in. Drive SAE Hex Bit Socket set its a nice addition to my bit sets. I can get into tighter spots than my 3/8 in. bits can get into. For instance if you have a 3/8 in. Diameter shoulder bolt counter bored deep into a die set the 3/8 in. Bit may hit the edge of the hole before the allen can get into fully engaged. Also there is a small chamfer to the leading edge of the bit so easy engagement to the fastener. Now I can use it with a 1/4″ nut driver, 1/4″ ratchet or even an impact driver with a 1/4″ drive adapter. It also has the life time warranty and you got to like that buy it once and use it for life. My only issue is the storage rail don’t hold the bits very tite but I will replace that.

I really needed a Torx socket set that would be portable to keep on my European motorcycle and this worked perfectly. The package is miss marked so don’t be fooled. I really like the included storage rail to keep all of the pieces together. The chamfered lead in is a great feature so that you get the Torx bit right into place without fear of scratching up a body panel or other part of your work area. I have bought other Husky tools and I have never had any issues with durability and longevity. Buy with confidence!

Ok, but not great. Very hard to see sizing stamp and plastic organizer, which doesn’t hold bits very well. Should be metal with spring type clips like competitors.

This is an excellent 1/4 in. Drive Torx Bit Socket Set. There are fourteen pieces, including a nice holder strip, so they don’t roll around loose in my toolbox. They seem to be well made, very heavy and solid construction. You have a good assortment of bits to use depending upon the project you have in mind. Now I won’t have to drive twenty or thirty miles to a hardware store when I need a particular bit.

This eight piece hex bit socket set came in handy on more than one project around the house since we got it. I do not really have anything to complain about, we keep it in a small compartment in the toolbox but I guess if we didn’t I would complain the little piece to hold them does not hold them very well. We love the husky brand, have not had to use the warranty on anything yet.

If you go nice and easy on them, they’re good. For a daily, shop environment use, I don’t know what to say,.but, still, if not abused, they’re great!

First look you see the size in nice large engraved print. This really helps grabbing the right size hex bit. These fit well in all of my 1/4″ ratchets. I also like the handy holder it comes with so I don’t mix up my metric from my US. I also like how long each socket and bit are. I will spend less time requiring an extension. This would be a good purchase for a DYI, or pro.

Not the best but decent. The lifetime warranty is nice to have, and I’ll probably end up needing it. 1st job put a slight twist into one of the smaller sizes. Again, considering the price and warranty, a pretty good buy.

This is an 8 piece SAE hex bit set, for assembly/removal of screws/fasteners with the standard 6 sided “hex” heads, derived from the W.G. Allen patent for recessed hex-driven safety screws filed back in 1909. These need to be attached to a 1/4″ drive socket or drive extension. The drive socket connects to the polished chrome portion of each hex bit unit. There is a nice detent to keep the bit attached to your drive socket if it has a ball detent. The labeling on the package saying “Chamfered Lead-in Bit for Fast and Easy Placement Onto Drive Tools and Fasteners” is a bit confusing, This is the the hex bit and would be placed on the hex fastener, not onto a drive tool. I think it would be clearer to say “Chamfered Lead-in for Easy Placement Onto Hex Fasteners”. The storage rail isn’t particularly robust – the bits fall of it very easily. I like the Lifetime Warranty and assume Home Depot will honor this in the future (if needed).

I never owned a set of torx bit sockets although I could have used a set on numerous occasions. Glad I made the decision to go with the Husky brand. Now I can do all the jobs I want with these quality made sockets and do it right. Multiple places to use these as a lot of torx heads are standard on various products. Great to have option of 1/4 handle or wrench and the lifetime warranted chrome sockets are top quality. No more stripped heads with the chamfered bits.

The bits work fine but the plastic holder does not. Bits slide right off

This tool set works as advertised. It will be added to my tool chest

Would have been better if all the sockets were 1/4 inch drive

Needed some Torx bits so I decided to try the Husky brand. I like how the tips are part of the socket, much harder to loose that way. I would like it a bit more if it had a hole in the storage rail to hang it up. I guess it’s nothing a drill can’t fix. It’s made in China but quality seems good enough that the pieces won’t strip out easily, guess time will tell. Right now I would surely recommend this product.
