This SAE nut driver set has handles that are made of a soft touch, textured rubber-like material instead of the usual acetate/hard plastic material. They grip well, even feeling a bit sticky with normally dry hands. With wet or sweaty hands they seem to grip somewhat better than the hard plastic grips. The hex shape has good, sharp edges and is well centered in the socket. The tool appears to be quite stout. The plastic case they arrive in can be used to store the nut drivers and can be hung on the wall, if desired. It’s not made of very thick plastic. So I’m not sure how long it would last. The only negative I find is that the hole that’s drilled in the shaft to allow for use with studs is not very deep. It’s only about 1/2 inch deep beyond the end of the hex shape. So, if you need to drive a 1 inch stud you can’t do it with these nut drivers. Some of my older nut drivers have a shaft that is hollow for its entire length, and, thus, can be used to drive nearly any stud. This is why I give only four stars instead of five.

I got this nut driver set for applications where a socket wrench is not practical or does not fit. As an example I recently finished a free standing TV mount project where these come in handy The primary material is Super Strut and the width of all of my sockets are large enough where it is is squeeze to get through the rails to tighten down the hard ware. I also plan to use this for my car maintenance. See attached photos. The handles on this set are larger than my screwdriver husky set. I was hoping these would match.

I think the biggest thing I really like about these tools is the fact that the handles are really comfortable and really have a good grip when you need it.It even comes with a nifty carry case and as you can see you can actually put them on your tool wall as everything is labeled. Just snapped the door open and grab what you need.To get the door open there’s a little weird set up in the back of the case. I’ve shown photos to display that you’ll have to remove two screws to get the door open after the side tie wrap is cut from the lever handle. But all in all these are great tool buddies. Nicely done!

This Husky Nut Driver set is just about perfect. The handle on each nut driver are cushioned to allow a good comfortable grip. On the end of each handle the nut size is very clearly marked. The “socket” end of the drivers are hollowed out to allow for situations where the threaded screw is protruding out of the nut. I like that these nut drivers use a 6 point configuration which is less likely round off nuts. I would like to address the packaging. It can used as a tool caddy and I’m using the package for wall storage of the nut drivers. If you plan to do that, there 2 zip ties on the end of the package that need to be cut where the latch is. The unit opens like a book. The thing that might throw you a curve is the two screws on the back of the packaging holding it closed. They need to be removed before the the packaging will open up easily. I almost pried it open before I saw the two screws. These nut drivers seem to be made very well. They are comfortable to use and should give long service.

I’m a fairly good home mechanic. I used the Husky SAE Cushion Grip Nut Driver Set to work on a 1967 Mustang with a 289 that I’m helping my neighbor restore. The nut drivers were very useful in removing lights, body molding, and lots of the internal components of the dash area. The tools work great and the soft handles were easy on the hands. My only complaint is the the plastic holder for the nut drivers is not very user friendly. You should not try to open it if it is not laying flat on a surface or the tools will drop out when it is opened.

This is a nice Nut Driver set. It comes in a nice carrying case that will store in your tool box and keep them together, and organized. The handles have a nice comfortable grip that give you extended use, unlike other Drivers that are hard Plastic, and can hurt your hand after extended use. These drivers have a hollowed shaft that allows you to access nuts on taller fasteners. It also has Chrome Blades to prevent corrosion. These Fasteners are marked on the end with the Driver sizes to help you to easily identify which driver you need without having to pick up each driver to look at and identify the size.this is a nice set that is good for Home use, or work place use.

Like all Husky tools, this one is a set of seven well constructed Cushin Grip Nut Drivers. It includes some of the most frequently used sizes – 3/16 inch, 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, 11/32 inch, 3/8 inch, 7/16 inch, and 1/2 inch. There are also conversion dimensions should you need to be working in metric sizes. The handles are well designed and provide for easy, non-slip grip. Best thing is they are backed by a Husky Lifetime Warranty.

A very nice set of standard (SAE) nut drivers. I have a Craftsman handle with interchangeable hex heads, but this set is a great convenience, and I dont have to worry about losing the small interchangable tips. The handles are comfortable to grip and the sizes are marked clearly on the ends of each driver. They come in a plastic “carrier/organizer,” but it doesnt seem to want to stay in the latched (closed) position, so of limited utility.Made in China

I’ve wanted to upgrade the dim CFL lighting in my shop to high output LED. Changing out the fixtures involves working on a ladder with one hand holding the fixture and the other driving in the fasteners. These nut drivers were perfect for one handed work. It takes two hands to get a regular socket wrench with an extension to get in the same area and do the same job. I love the cushion grip and the non-roll-away design of the grip. I also appreciate the oversized printing on the bottom of each grip displaying the size. The bottom of each grip is rounded just right for applying pressure when driving/tightening. On my dozens of regular sockets I’ve gone back with metal stickers and labelled each socket. Two of the walls in my shop are covered with peg board. I appreciate the injection molded holder/carrier the set came in. It labels each size, has a nice hand grip, and is just right for hanging up on my peg board. When I’m working on a project I like having all the tools close at hand so I don’t have to keep on getting up to get a tool. This is especially important when I’m underneath a vehicle–I have the sockets within reach where I can get them by feel. The non-roll-away grip, the oversized size labels on the bottom of the grips, and the comfortable durometer/feel of the grips are excellent. 5 stars for an excellent product.

Here are the best things about this 7-piece set:- The packaging itself is the carrying case, and each slot is labeled with size in order. The carrying case would hang nicely on a peg board, but I will say the case looks and feels cheap. If you drop the case, I guarantee it’ll split apart. Plus, the plastic slot for the smallest sized nut driver isn’t molded to the optimum size. So, instead of snapping in, it’s loose. That size usually hangs down about a 1/2” lower than all the others in your set, which just doesn’t look like top quality. Anyway, to open the case, it is as simple as releasing a latch. When it first arrives, however, you’ll need to cut off two tiny zip ties from the side, and remove two screws through the backside. Dispose of the zip ties and screws- The nut drivers have a deep and hollow shaft, to accommodate taller fasteners- Each nut driver is labeled with its size, on the bottom- The handles provide exception grip, are beefy enough to provide sufficient torque, and have both a cushion grip and ergonomic shape (feels good in your hand)- Robust construction- Great matte black finish on the handle, and zero scuffs in the chrome polish- Corrosion resistanceLike many Husky products, these nut drivers come with a lifetime warranty. It is as simple as calling up Husky, and providing your details. For those who care, these are a product of Taiwan, and finished in China.
