I purchased these primarily for the ball-ends which allow you to work at an angle of up to 30 degrees. (I also own standard folders, loose key and T-handle sets). While the scales (sides) are plastic and do flex a bit uder load, they have never failed me.My only complaint is that the SAE/MM ID markings are only on one side. That makes absolutely no sense to me….

These ball-end hex keys are extremely durable and of great quality. The ball-ends truly make hard-to-reach screws easier to get to.

As with all DIYers, I often find myself in need of hex keys. This set is a convenient way to have multiple sizes all in one place. There’s no need to fumble around looking for the right size because they are all in one place. One set is metric and the other is SAE. The metric set includes 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 mm. The SAE set includes 5/64, 3/32, 7/64, 1/8, 9/64, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, and 1/4 in. The keys all fold into the handle for easy access. The keys are very easy to open from the handle. Since they are “ball end” they allow you to insert the key at a little bit of an angle in those hard to reach places. These are very light weight and easy to work with. These seem like a good set of keys.

My house eats hex keys. Always necessary, never findable. Bicycle repair, crib disassembly, IKEA furniture repair, loft bed tightening… the hex keys never get back to the basement tool chests.Perhaps my helpers (i.e., the offspring) and I will finally be able to keep track of hex keys that are all JOINED UP TOGETHER.You get a set of metric sizes and a set of standard American sizes.

I used this several time the first day I got it and it worked great for everything. I have individual hex keys in a drawer and it’s always a pain to find the right one I need. This set makes it very easy to get to the right size without all the digging to find it. Fold it up and drop it in your pocket when done. The beveled heads are a great design allowing you to get it done at an angle witch is very helpful as well.

Mainly got them for some 1/4″ hex heads there were hard to get to. I have a regular set of ball ends from a different manufacturer but they don’t have a handle to get torqued down. This 1/4″ doesn’t even seem to fit in the cap of the screw. Not sure if it’s the angle or overall size.

I was in a blind and needed ball end hex key set. You didn’t have exactly what I was looking for so I didn’t want to but had to purchase these. They were good in a bind but I’m not a true fan of these, their too bulky and dont always fit in the location that you need to get to. But in a pinch there ok.

These were no surprise when I recieved them on the mail. The design is standard and the ball end give it a nice option. However, as a standard set of SAE/Metric hex keys, I would like to see the shaft a bit longer. I do electrical work and I need to longer shaft to access set screws and such. These are an average set and work well for their purpose.

The hex set is overall sturdy when closed and easy to use. When open the individual hex keys are loose and flop around when I’m only using one key. The other keys also come out and get in the way during use. This why I gave it a 4 star rating and didn’t give it a 5 star rating!
