This kit comes with two air nailers – the brad nailer and the flooring nailer. I liked this kit because the flooring nailer is specifically for engineered woods – which can sometimes be thinner boards and some nailers do not come with the proper depth base plates to sit on the boards properly. This flooring nailer comes with 5 base plates, for handling four or five different sized hardwood thicknesses. It fires well and the construction is solid. It comes out of the box assembled and ready to use. I preferred that to other nailers where the handle needs to be attached first. It’s not a huge deal, but it feels like a better tool.I had to order the cleats. I could not find 18-gauge L-cleats anywhere, so I ordered them. No big deal. They showed up quickly, but they don’t seem to be a stock item at most stores. The brad nailer works well and accepts brads up to 2.” It is a full featured nailer with a bump trigger, adjustable depth setting and a swivel NPT air connector. I used it for both some flooring and for some other trim projects.

As a beginner at laying floor it was easy to use and get used to. I can’t wait to catch my next floor job.

Good nailer for 1/2 engineered flooring. Have had a few miss fires but no tongue breaking . The shelf is identifiable but the nailer loves to sit in the wrong position too causing the mail to be placed in the middle of the board instead of the tongue.

Easy to use. I put 3/4 inch oak hardwood floors in. The machine handled the thick wood very well. My only issue has been a couple nail jams. They were my fault, because I didn’t hit hard enough with the mallot. Have disassemble the entire machine to remove jammed nails. You need to special order the nails. Home Depot, Menards, Lowes etc all had them online, but NOBODY had them in stock.

This Husky tool combo is a very nice Home Depot (house brand) combo hardwood flooring nailer and brad nailer. Given reason care with a filtered water-separator , regulated air compressor it should last for many years. The floor nailer is a heavy but perfectly balanced nailer which will embed nails into the hardest oak but more importantly any of the hardest flooring materials available It has a very comfortable handle which will NOT fatigue the user during prolonged usage. The flooring nailer comes with it’s own rubber mallet which works extremely nicely with this nailer. A few drops of quality pneumatic oil before and after each use will prolong the life of both floor and brad nailer. Inferior nails and brads are the bane of all pneumatic nailers so be sure and purchase quality flooring nails and brad nails which Home Depot readily stocks.
