Husky External Torx Sockets are specially designed to be used with Torx style fasteners commonly found on motorcycles, import vehicles, disc breaks, and electronics. I selected this E-Torx socket set since it covered a wide range of sizes over the three ratchet driver sizes 1/2, 3/8, 1/4. After all how many overlapping sizes of 6 point and 12 point sockets do we have that never get used? And I see that places like Harbor Freight are pushing the longer deep well E-Torx sockets under their Icon brand. That makes no sense, as there is no need for a taller socket in most cases where a short drive extension will work. I use deep well sockets where the threads of a bolt extend well past the nut and that can’t happen with an E-Torx bolt. General quality of the sockets look to be on par with what you should expect for chromed vanadium steel.
