Husky 1/2 in. drive impact bit sockets are forged from chrome molybdenum alloy steel (Cr-Mo) and designed to withstand rigors of heavy-duty auto and industrial use. Size markings have been laser etched and hard stamped into the sockets for quick and easy identification that will never wear away. Husky impact bit sockets are designed to withstand high torque and impact forces commonly associated with impact power tools. Includes seven 1/2 inch drive impact bit sockets: T40, T45, T47, T50, T55, T60, T70
- Designed for use with impact drive tools
- Industrial 2-piece design allows the hex bit to be easily removed and replaced if ever damaged
- Oiled, black oxide finish for maximum corrosion resistance
- Pin hole at the base of each socket for use with a locking pin for secure attachment to drive tools
- Socket bases are forged from chrome molybdenum alloy steel (Cr-Mo) for its strength under the pressures of impact use and wear resistances
- Large hard stamped size markings allow for easy identification of socket size
- Over torqueing increases the risk of stripping the fastener or causing damage to the bit
- Plastic storage rail included to keep all your sockets organized and in 1-location
- Meets or exceeds ANSI standards

They are strong and work well the only problem is the set screws keep coming loose when using them, so I put some lock tite on the set screw

The Husky 1/2 in. Drive 7 piece Hex Bit Impact Socket Set SAE includes hex sockets in 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 and 3/4 inch sizes. The sizes are imprinted and stamped on the base and also stamped into the hex bits. Each bit is secured into the socket base with a set screw. I found more than half of the set screws were very loose and required tightening with a 1/8 hex inch wrench. This represents poor manufacturing and testing processes. There is no reason for the screws to be loose and they should have added some thread locker to help ensure they don’t loosen. Some of the hex bits are stamped as CR-V steel and others S2. These are common steel types used in impact drivers but are prone to shattering when pushed beyond their limits. Husky’s guaranteed forever warranty would apply if you have any issues with the product. The sockets are mounted on a plastic rail. In my testing they fit well into hex head bolts and were able to loosen fasteners via my impact wrench without issue.

This set comprises seven impact hex sockets, from 3/8 inch to ¾ inch. Each socket has two parts, the actual hex bit and a mating ½ inch drive socket which accepts the 7/16 inch end of each bit. A set screw is provided to keep the hex bit insert snug in the driving socket, though upon receipt of the set, several of the set screws were loose, allowing movement of the hex bit, which could perhaps cause additional wear with each impact. A carrier strip is provided to hold the sockets when not in use. A ball-detent is provided to secure the sockets to the carrier. Two holes are provided should one wish to mount the carrier in place. Manufactured in Taiwan, the tools seem to be of good quality (black finish). These should be of use for removing stubborn socket head screws/bolts, however keep in mind that even with the ¾ inch hex bit, you are still driving that through a 7/16 in. hex section. My impact driver does not have a high enough torque rating to cause concern, but there are some new tools on the market with much higher output that may have to be used with care.
