After purchasing this item, I immediately open to use it on a auto brake replacement. Impact worked ok til swivel came apart on me. I was able to reassemble it and finish the project.

These sockets work quite well and handle working at an angle quite smoothly, they do seem to be a little more prone to getting sticky when dirt gets in them than the standard pin type. They basically use 4 splines to turn the socket, which looks to be quite strong, and a snap ring to hold the two pieces together, time will tell on how they last. The socket uses a flank drive so there is less chance of rounding off your fastener. The set comes with 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm. I don’t like that it is not a complete set and is missing the 11mm, 16mm, and 18mm, The markings on the side are easy to read and if they wear off the size is also stamped into the metal on the socket itself. The rail that comes with it can be used in your tool box to keep the set organized, it is plastic and not very high quality but it does work, however I don’t think it will last long. One of the things I don’t like much is that there is quite a bit of twist or play in the socket itself, it is the worst when the socket is straight but not bad when at an angle. They do have a hole for the retaining pin on impact extensions and guns. The card says that they work up to 30 degrees which is about what I measured. The sockets are about 2 3/8″ long and about 1″ in diameter. The metal seem quite decent and solid. They also have a lifetime warranty. All in all this seems to be a decent set of sockets

Yippee. Love these. Under the hood there is always machine screws that are in tough spots or rusted or both. Out one of these on an impact driver and bingo done. These have a lot of play and can get into some pretty rough spots that a straight socket won’t. Granted it won’t get all right spots because of the size of the 3/8ths attaching point but it sure is nice where you can get them in. The finish is really nice and they seem to be real durable. I will be reviewing these again once I get to put them on a real impact gun.

I have to reconnect the Catylitic converter to the manifold of my daughters PT cruiser and it is an awkward reach at a funny angle with one of the bolts hidden underneath the pipe and i was wishing I had a thirteen MM socket with a little give to it so I could get those nuts back on I believe the 13 mm socket in this set will be just the thing. They could be a little less bulky but for most purposes they should be fine.

Only complaint is size skips of 11mm and 18mm. Over all, a very decent and high quality set of universal type and impact rated sockets. The pinless design seems to be holding up well in use at the shop. Broaching is nice and clean. Fits well on hog ring studs of the impact tool I have been using. Finish is a nice smooth black oxide so long term storage will need the occasional rust inhibitor oil type wipe down. Long term quality remains to be seen, but I am impressed with the limited use I have had with them.

I’ve only had these a week, but my first impression of them is good. These Husky 3/8″ drive impact sockets are nice, I really like the wobble that allows you to use at an angle and not have to be straight on the bolt. I like the pinless feature as it makes it easier to get on and off the impact drill. This 7 piece set gives me the sizes I needed most for off radius driving. I did get both the SAE and the metric 7 piece sets.

This is a 7-piece impact socket set. It’s metric and the sockets have 360 degree rotation. My impression of these sockets is positive after using them.My observations after usage:• Included are 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19mm sizes with 3/8in drive.• Sockets are 6-point.• The 360 degree rotation works well and many of you already know this flexibility is critical in some situations. The max operating angle is 30 degrees which is plenty.• It comes with a plastic storage rail. I always appreciate these for organization. • The sockets are well-built and based on my inspection and usage I feel these will hold up to decades of heavy usage. Husky also has a lifetime warranty included that covers tool failure. Pretty good warranty.• Usage was smooth. The flex points moved with the right amount of resistance. The overall strength of the sockets met my expectations.I found these socket to be a high quality and will produce the desired outcomes during usage. This is a good set to add to your collection. I recommend.

Anyone who has used pinned universal sockets knows the limitations: They work poorer and poorer the greater the angle from straight-on, and can jam up so that you can’t even turn them. The rotation is jerky – not conducive to accurate tightening at all. These sockets solve that issue. The drive is a circular ball with grooves, and the turning is as smooth as if you were going straight-on. I put a bolt into a vise (see picture, and could easily drive the nut at a 35 degree angle. Great tool for those hard-to-reach bolts and nuts.

These are rugged enough to take the force exerted by an impact gun. The design/rotation is innovative and provides more degrees or flexibility. Back in the day when I used impact sockets daily the traditional method was a basic pin mechanism that restricted but still provided needed flexibility in tight spaces. Everyone had spare pins so when one broke we simply replaced the pin and continued. These don’t rely on that simple pin attachment. The savings with universal impact sockets is the space savings by not having to use a combination universal and shallow socket. These sockets combine them into one making them approximately 1/2 inch shorter. In tight spaces it can be a lifesaver.

The Husky 3/8 inch drive metric pinless universal impact socket set is a great addition to my toolbox. Socket sizes are 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 19mm. The sockets are shallow, not deep. I just used the 19mm socket to remove and re-torque a lug nut on my Jeep Liberty. The six point socket provided reasonable grip even though it was a shallow socket. The best thing about these sockets is that they’ll flex, but they don’t flop loosely and uselessly from the 3/8 in drive. These Husky sockets would have been extremely useful installing headers on my Mustang GT.

i use these for 2 weeks straight on subaru headers and they work great! i combined it with a milwaukee stubby and no slip just gets the work done!!!!!!!

I really appreciate the new design vs the u-joint design in the past – consistent force through the range of movement.
