This possibly could become a DIY more popular tool set. The Microdriver ratchet is a true ratchet, meaning you don’t have to turn the wrench over in order to go in the other direction, plus the ratchet alone is worth it and could replace your 1/4” ratchet because of its versatility. Both ends of the handle has a tighten/loosen lever and the ends also incorporate a thumbscrew for quicker tightening/loosening, nice feature. One end accepts 1/4” bits and the other 5/16” bits which also comes with a drive adapter so you can use 1/4” drive sockets, some of which are included. It’s great in tight quarters where you would otherwise use a stubby screwdriver and you don’t necessarily have to take the bit off of the screw head. Sockets included are 3 SAE (5/16, 3/8, 7/16) and 3 MM (8, 10, 12) which have their sizes etched in large numbers on the socket walls and chrome finish to cut down on corrosion. The assortment of the bits are ones that would be used most frequently and their sizes are stamped on the shanks. After using it a few times, the set made some projects less labor intensive just for the mere fact it worked good in close quarters and I didn’t have to reposition the screwdriver all the time.It comes in its own carrying case with a clear top for easy identification of the bits and sockets. The packaging mentions that it has a belt clip on the case but haven’t been able to figure it out, or if it wasn’t included. Everything seems well manufactured and comes with a “Guaranteed Forever” warranty.

This is a compact socket/screwdriver wrench set with 8 screwdriver bits, 6 sockets, a hex-to-square adapter, and a ratcheting handle. It is for general use with just a few types of each bit included. But the bit selection is a ‘bit” strange (pun intended). It has both a 8MM and a 5/16″ which are within .0625MM of each other and could be used interchangeably with just the 5/16″. Sub a 7MM or a 9 MM for the 8MM and that works better. The ratchets on each end of the handle have a good feel and are fairly easy to reverse. But the fit with the sockets and bits is way too tight on the 1/4″ end and way too loose on the 5/16″ end. Have a pair of pliers ready to insert or remove the bits. You may have to put a paper shim in the 5/16″ end to keep the bit from falling out.The case design seems inconvenient. The screwdriver bits are stored in small nests horizontally and are difficult to remove. I think they should have been in vertical nests like the sockets. There is certainly enough room in the case for that arrangement. The design seems to be more for display purposes and not convenience of use.Still except for the fit issues, this set works well and seems plenty strong.

This is a small toolset that is going to be handy to keep in the truck for tiny fasteners. You won’t have to walk back to the shop to get metric or SAE since it has both. Kinda nice that it has a selection of nine screwdriver bits, too.The rachet ispretty compact at less than 5″ long and it has a swivel to reach those fasteners that just aren’t easy to reach. One really nice feature is the heavy plastic box it came in. It has a hinged lid and feels like it’s going to last a long time. This means you won’t have to hunt in the bottom of your tool bag for all the bits and pieces since they’ll stay contained.

Works well. Maybe a little too heavy duty for 1/4 inch use. But a small quibble. Also, would be better if both ends were 1/4 inch application s

For really light duty only, anything that requires tork look for other options. Othor than that i have no issues with this product

There was a lot of resistance while trying to open the cover initially because there is a strong plastic tie at the front left (see pic’). Be sure to cut this off before breaking the case. The ratchet is very flexible extending to 90 degrees on both sides and the gear is fine toothed which helps when turning fasteners in tight spaces. The reversing lever operates smoothly. The flexible head holds in position easily while not being stiff to move. The bits provided are hex, flat and Phillips in popular sizes and the sockets cover popular metric and SAE sizes. The sockets engage firmly with the quarter inch square drive and the sprung ball bearing keeps them in place. The bits are held magnetically. Everything is easily kept in order in the custom case provided. Comes with the excellent Husky lifetime warranty with no questions asked and no receipt requirement!

This Husky Brand made in China 16 piece Flex Head Microdriver set is a welcome addition to any home owner’s tool chest. It contains 1/4″ Drive sockets (SAE 5/16; 3/8″; and 7/16″. For MM 8, 10 and 12 . It also has 9 1/4″ bits: Phillips 1, 2, 3. Slotted 4 and 5.5mm. and 4 hex bits 5/32″; 3/16″; 7/32″ and 1/4″. The 1/4″ socket handle is dual purpose having a 1/4″ bit on one side and a 1/4″ socket for the 1/4″ bits. Like the flexible head. The tools are of high Husky quality with the sockets clearly labeled with the size. The bits are unmarked and are stored in a nice magazine style clip. All of these come in a 4″ by 6.5″ x 1.5″ storage box with a Husky Lifetime guarantee. These are designed where a normal 1/4″ socket set would be too high. Back in the 70’s I do not recall the availability of socket sets this unique having to purchase screw driver only small wrenches each for the Phillips and slotted heads. These were OK for small jobs but were definitely not as robust as these. There were really no issues with these except for the newness of the 1/4″ sockets which proved a little difficult to pick up from the case since they were very well chrome plated and slippery while the case could have provided a little more socket grabbing surface. Also, once installed on the flex-head wrench, it required a small screwdriver in which to pry the socket loose caused by the newness of the socket driver and the slipperiness of the sockets.Overall a nice addition to any toolbox and yes these are recommended..
