I found this set very useful right away – some habitually wobbly chair legs are now rock solid because I was finally able to tighten them properly. But after using the socket adapter, I can’t get it out. Can somebody clue me in? How do you remove it?

Husky 1-4 in. Drive Microdriver Set (16-Piece) – a Home Depot Seeds Program ReviewHow many times have you needed a screw driver for a very tight spot but all of the ones you have are too long to fit. Even the stubby screw drivers are too long. This Husky 16-Piece Flex-Head Microdriver set could be the solution for you. The kit contains a 1/4” ratchet handle, three Phillips bits (#1, #2, #3), two flat screw driver bits (4mm, 5.5mm) and four Hex bits (5/32”, 3/16”, 7/32”) that should take care of most, if not all, of your light duty screw driving needs. There are also six ratchet sockets – three metric (8mm, 10mm, 12mm) and three SAE (5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16”) – for much of your light duty nut installation and removal needs. These are all in a small plastic, lidded case to keep everything together.Keep in mind that this is a light duty set for fitting in very tight spaces. The ratchet handle and the largest socket is only 1 1/2” deep so the workable space needed for use is just a little more than that. The head of the ratchet flexes a full 180 degrees so you can reach those “unreachable” spots as well. Like other large ratchet handles, there’s a metal switch that changes the ratchet direction. The ratchet, screw driver bits and sockets all seem well made and I have no doubt they’ll stand the test of time, but the handle and bit set is too small for anything but the light duty it was designed for.I needed the set for tightening a screw in a garden window that was completely inaccessible without a long ladder and would require removing part of the window to even reach the screw. My stubby screw driver was too long but this set allowed me to reach it easily and tighten the screw even though it was hidden from view. It was exactly the type of application the set was designed for. I found it a little tricky trying to keep the flex-head positioned properly while simultaneously fitting the driver bit into the head of the screw and applying enough pressure on the ratchet head to keep it in the screw head while not being able to see what I was working on. This was mostly a two-handed operation which is not good in such a tight spot. With practice it got only slightly easier and I could do some with only one hand. It might be easier driving a nut since the socket would tend to stay on the nut better than a driver bit in a screw head. I found the flex head very useful for getting into even tighter spots but there needs to be some way to lock it into the desired angled position. The head is pretty loose and flexes easily by a slight wave of the hand. Even some teeth like the ratchet movement or “stickier” movement that would hold the position a little better would be useful. The tool is made in China if that’s important to you but they say if it ever fails, bring it back for a free replacement.I like the set and it was just what I needed for the job I had. I had nothing else that would have allowed that. I liked the metal throughout – even the ratchet direction switch. The small case holding the set is very compact. If you occasionally have the need for removing or driving screws or nuts in very tight spots, this set would be for you.

This ratchet is awesome for automotive repairs in tight spaces. It is especially useful on hose clamps under the dash. It has save my knuckles and my time! Wish I had bought one long ago! The ratchet is smooth and precise. The tool feels good in hand. The ratchet swivel works smoothly. Overall great tool and set for 16$!

I like to carry tools in my car, not so much to fix the car- it is fairly new, but to do unexpected fix-it jobs at friends homes. This set is sturdy and very compact. The only downside is that it only has 6 sockets, 3 metric and 3 SAE. I wider range would have been nice.In retrospect I should have got the other microdriver set from HD, it only costs slightly more but has 10 sockets.

Very nice compact ratcheting driver set. One slick feature is that a strong magnet holds the driver bits (such as Philips and flat screwdriver bits) in place. That approach makes it easy to install the bits so that they are held securely and the magnet holding the bits also makes it easy to remove the bits. A ball detent would make it very difficult to remove these bits. I have routinely been putting hex drive bits in the 1/4 inch socket of ratchet drive wrenches to get additional torque. To hold them bits in place I have often used blue painters tape, but that is a nuisance and this set will now save me time with a cleaner solution. The pivoting handle appears to be strong enough to withstand the torques that the driver will encounter. The ball detent retainer for the sockets is very secure. The sockets went on easily and were held so tightly in place that I found it difficult to remove them without using a small or medium screw driver to start getting them up from the seat. From my perspective, I would rather have the sockets held tightly rather than risk sockets working loose during use and having them roll into spots where they are hard to find or retrieve.

Sockets are a little tough to get off ratchet, other than that I love it.

Perfect for my line of work in aircraft maintenance. Not as great as the Husky 64723T which is smaller and more disirable. Wish they didn’t stop making them. This is an OK sub, but then again no one makes a small version of this one. Very helpful tool, every mechanic should have one in their box.

This perfect little kit fits in my purse perfectly! I’m not forced to drag a huge kit out for minor repairs at my mom’s house. More importantly….it works like a charm, it can handle all tasks with no issue.
