The Husky Palm Ratchet is great for use in tight spaces where standard ratchets can’t fit and high torque isn’t needed. This set comes with 12 commonly used SAE and Metric 3/8 in. drive sockets and a 3 in. extension bar for added reach. The set also includes a bit adapter that enables the included bits to be used as bit sockets offering the versatility of 15 with just 1 socket.

I bought this set about a month ago, same price, to change out the hot surface igniter in the hot water heater at our rental unit. The palm ratchet and 3/8 to 1/4 hex adapter is super handy. Now a permanent addition to my maintenance tool box. Chrome finish is decent and plastic case has a real hinge, not a membrane. A 1/4 drive version would probably be a better fit for most fasteners one would drive with a palm ratchet.

The product was as expected. Both people were extremely happy with the product itself. Ordering it was a pain. Your website would not accept any credit or debit cards from us and no explanation why. I had to purchase a gift card online (it did accept our credit card for that) and then purchase the product with the certificate. Oneof the sets came intact. The second package was sliced to shreds and pieces were all over the packing box. Very disappointed in that.

Got this ratchet set as Roadie set, wanted something I could keep in the Recreational Vehicle to have in case of need. The set is nicely packed and easily stored. Have used it a couple of times and the metal and coating seems adequate. I’m a messy DIYer and love having a package/set that is easy to use, and keeps things in place. I highly recommend this product.

I was as only looking for a low profile palm ratchet; worked well until I tried to release the socket from the drive. There isn’t a release button on the drive; needed to use a flat head screwdriver to pry the socket. Also, the container doesn’t keep the sockets in place and the lid to the container does not snap or stay in place; needs a rubber band to hole the case together.

This is a great little set to keep in the car. Many of the hose clamps on my jeep are set upside down and this little ratchet handle is the only thing that will get at them. It has also worked well to reach resistors behind the glove box. I would.give it 5 stars accross the board but the insert, in the box, that the tools fit into is a bit flimsy and organized storage is always half the battle, but I do recommend it regardless. I am usually very happy with Husky products.

This is a nice tool set, and includes sockets as well as a few allen wrenches, torx bits, phillips and straight screwdriver bits.. However, the palm ratchet for use with the larger sockets are a bit much. Normal 9/16″ bolts are torqued too high for use with this small palm ratchet, unless you are superman. A nice small tool set to keep in your vehicle for emergencies or just to have around the house though.

This set was ideal for working on my car and motorcycle. Those tight places where the handle on a standard ratchet set just can’t swing is no problem for this palm ratchet. The only drawback is the decreased leverage but that’s an easy trade-off when you can get a socket on that nut that you couldn’t get to any other way. The set has a broad selection of metric and standard sockets and phillips, straight and star tips. The whole thing comes with the elements fitted into a tough compact carrying case which slips nicely into the saddle bags on the bike or into the glove compartment in the car.

For ten bucks? Good enough. Would prefer an all-steel palm ratchet for 10-15 bucks more. Wish it were available in 1/4″ and 1/2″ drive, as well. Also wish they would offer all three sizes (individually or a set of three) all steel, and keep the sockets, as I could sink a boat with my redundant sockets.

Well, I have a couple of issues with this product, but I have to day up front that it’s got a pricepoint of just under 10.00, so perhaps I’m expecting a bit much from it to be griping.That said, here’s my take:1. does what it says on the box. It’s a short ratchet you can palm.2. about half of the “30 piece” set is the sockets; the other half the screw bits.3. speaking of the screw bits: as you can see from my pictures, the things the bits sit in come out. it’s almost good that they do, since they were very tight in the “holes”, and i had to push them out from behind with a screwdriver.4. i don’t have big hands, and the palm grip felt small in my hand. I suspect for anyone with big hands, this will feel tiny.5. The ratchet settings are forward or reverse. Like I said at the outset, some of my comments might seem like I’m expecting a more expensive tool – this one might be that. It would be nice not to have to switch the direction to back off a little when you overtighten the screw.6. one last comment – the attachment that holds the crew bits has a little leaf spring inside to hold the bit under tension. It works. Until you have the bit in the screw head, and then back off the crew. then it stays in the screwhead.

my initial thoughts on the Palm ratchet were how small the palm piece is. having larger than average hands will present a little difficulty in holding the palm piece. you can always use the attachments on another ratchet, but that kind of defeats the point of the buying the product. This was ordered online so there wasn’t a great visualization to how large the palm ratchet piece was. obviously that will be different in the store. that being said, this is the perfect size for my wife. She just used it to fix something on a bicycle and has nothing but great things to say about it. for the handy woman, or small hand man, this would be an excellent product. the quality is excellent, and nothing about the set feels cheap. I would still recommend this because, even though it is small in my hands, it will get plenty of use.
