I have used this for a couple years, but it is unreliable and buggy. It’s hard to tell when it’s gonna work great for the night or be very touchy. connecting to webcams or external monitors can easily disconnected by gently brushing against the device. They’ve added this stability bracket which I assume manufactures realized their device isn’t perfect. If you have extremely important projects or working on live streams, you can get knocked off. So I wouldn’t put my trust into this device. I have multiple times and have been highly disappointed. I bought this thing when it was at $100. So I feel extremely irritated with it.

Fits perfectly. Yellow color is a shade darker than the IMac, but looks and works great.

Included color insert matches my iMac and gives a much more convenient set of front connections.

Solves the biggest problem (IMHO) with the 24 iMac, no front I/0. Works well, good speed, matches the color of the computer. What’s not to like?

Worked Ok for a year then would not connect. It also does not fit well on a 2019 MacBook Pro. Because it is loose, external HDs sometimes disconnect. NOT good!

I have two HyperDrives. If you are photographer and want to backup your images to an external hard drive, using your iPad as the intermediary, look elsewhere. After extensive tests, I found that the HyperDrives occasionally worked, but many times they did not. The problem seemed to be especially acute with newer SD cards. I finally settled on a Belkin device. It is not perfect, but it is far better than the HyperDrive. B&H would do the world a favor if they put together a bundle that worked: SSD external drive, hub, cable, and iPad.

I used this for four months and it stopped delivering power to my ipad soon after. It is not a reliable piece of gear. I will try to see if the manufacturer will replace or repair it. stay tuned…

designed for iPad Pro, this connector is great for photo downloads, connectivity to others and additional ports.
