Is working great in my HP Z820, was able to use 4 SSD in RAID 0 and it is blasing fast! Almost 1GB/s. Plastic feel a bit week but since it sit in place, should not cause any issue.

I bought this because I am transitioning from spinning disks to 2 1/2 inch SSDs and when this arrived I was impressed by how well it was made, its ease of installation and the fact that for 4 SSDs I only needed 1 power cord thus reducing some of the clutter of cables inside my case by 3. The fan has 3 settings, automatic, low and high and is attached to the rear of the unit and really quiet. Good price for a great little unit.

Makes swapping drives much quicker and is a clean and compact way to hold sata drives. Only thing I found that could be improved is the tray design. The 2 built in screws can not be turned as the heads are covered which can make installation and removal of drives difficult. Threadless pins or access to the screw heads would be ideal.

I recently built yet another video editing PC. Previously I combined them with an external SAS Raid. This time, I populated 3 of these cages with 2TB SSDs (24 TB total) and used an Areca ARC-1883ix-12, and put them inside the PC case. Doing this saved me 3-4K over my usual raid costs.

we ordered 6, but 3 have issues- some trays stuck easily and we have to force them out. Will need to return these 3.

My Super Micro has only 4@ 3.5″ internal drives but the SEAX11 system board supports 8 SATA ports. This drive cage gives me devices for the other 4 ports. I now have two BIOS selectable boot systems each in RAID-1 configuration. No data is stored on this storage, just the boot configuration which is quite small compared to today’s 2.5″ drive capacities.

Nicely done, work has expected. No issues until now. The plastic of the trays feels a little bit weak, handle with care. Easy to install and work right away
