Description
The Adjustable Can Light Hole Saw is works great for cutting drywall and ceiling tile. The Self-sharpening carbide coated cutting blade is adjustable from 2-1/2 in to 7 in. Two dust shields are included to minimize clean up.
- 10 size settings from 2-1/2 in. up to 7 in.
- Optional dust shield can be utilized for overhead hole cutting to minimize dust
- Actual hole sizes will be 1⁄16 to 1⁄8 in. less than setting
- Fits 3/8 in. drills
- Apply light pressure against material when starting to cut to avoid rough and uneven holes
- Keep saw and drill perpendicular to material when cutting
- Hex key included to loosen hex screws when setting hole size

I’m an electrician and have used this to cut over 100 holes. The only time it ever binds up on me is when i start cutting crooked, unlike the bigger holesaws especially the 6 inch ones that bind up every time. Great product.

I see a number of mixed reviews for this and it may to come down to the speed of the drill that is used that makes the difference. I have cut over 30 holes with this and for the price it is a great value.The dust catcher/cover is useless. Just put plastic down and deal with the mess.I had initially used a cordless drill when I bought the tool and cut 8 holes and worked perfectly.Then I went to do another bedroom and my cordless drill died. I started using my old corded drill which is slower rpm but more torque. It didn’t go so well.With the slower rpm the blades would snag on the drywall.and lock and it threw me off the ladder. And made a mess of the hole.I bought a Dewalt 20v cordless drill from hd and was back in business.The key is to keep the blade spinning fast and slowly apply pressure when drilling the hole,watching to make sure you are drilling straight.The only thing I wish was better is the adjustable size markings. You cant really tell how to line up the blades with the numbers on the slides. It is kinda set the blades then use a tape measure and double check. I meant once to cut a 3 1/2″ hole and cut a 4″.

This tool works well. You can’t put a lot of pressure on it. Let the tool do the cutting at a low speed. Works great on ceiling tile. Be sure to clean off any build up on the blades when cutting drywall. The dust catcher is a bit gimmicky.
