The versatile Stripmaster Wire Strippers are the standard of the industry. They incorporate a gripper that firmly holds the wire in a center-line position with the stripping hole. The lever action of the stripper offers a mechanical advantage that makes stripping easier. This aids in production applications and reduces operator fatigue. One squeeze strips the wire clean, up to a full 7/8 in. (22 mm). The jaws are automatically held open to allow removal of the wire without damaging its end. This stripper virtually eliminates all nicking, cutting or fraying on non-precision wire.
- 1-step stripping enhances productivity
- Strips 10 AWG to 22 AWG conductors
- Precision-ground, knife-type blades provide clean, accurate stripping
- Sturdy die-cast zinc frame provides long-term durability

Easiest tool to strip wires I have ever used. Over the years I have used all kinds of tools to strip insulation from wires. This tool, by far, is the easiest I have used. It strips insulation from 10 – 22 AWG, both solid and stranded conductor wire. It will even strip insulation from multi-wire cable. The insulation is removed cleanly and no nicks are created on the wire. See photos and video

This 7 in. Long 10-22 AWG Stripmaster Wire Stripper by Ideal is a very nice tool to have in your tool box. I have had several pairs of this design wire stripper and never had that much luck with them. They seemed to only work a few times and then would not stripping the wire. These however these strippers have been working great! They are so very simple to use. I have stripped all sizes of wire with out one problem. They will stripe up to 7/8″ lengths and 10 gauge to 22 gauge wires. Very happy to own them.

I used the new Stripmaster for the second time – repairing my irrigation system. I inherited one of these tools from my Father thirty five years ago. He had used it over and over for about fifteen years before I received it. We both used it more times that I can imagine. The old tool still works, but was just a little stiff. Since I’ve had problems with my hands/grip – I decided to get a new one. I am even more pleased with my new Stripmaster. It is the IDEAL tool!

A nice quality tool. Makes stripping small wires a painless task, unlike every other cheap tool I’ve used in the past. Kicking myself for not buying one of these years ago.

I have lots of wire strippers of the form that are like a pair of wire cutters with holes in the blades. This Stripmaster is a bit different; while it still has a blade with holes of different sizes for the different wire gauges, it also has a clamp that grips the insulation and pulls the wire away from the blade with an easy squeeze. The clamp latches until you release the handle.I found the gauge numbers on the blade difficult to read, and you’re required to put the wire in the correct slot (as you are for the other kind I have, but their markings are easier.) It effortlessly stripped 12 and 14ga Romex conductors, but the 24ga telephone wire I tried it on was too small (the smallest position is for 22ga.)It’s not entirely clear to me that this design is any better than the cheaper kind of strippers, especially if you are dealing with 12 and 14ga primarily and you can buy a less expensive stripper that will remove the outer insulation and also serve as small-nosed pliers.

I just received the 7 in. Long 10-22 AWG Stripmaster Wire Strippers a few days ago. I tried them out on some wires today and they worked great. They are so easy to use. They will save me time when I’m working on my collection of old cars. The versatile Stripmaster Wire Strippers remove the coating without harming the wire inside. They seem to be a good quality tool. I wish I had these years ago.

The Stripmaster is a well built quality product in my opinion. As a former tool dealer, I have sold and worked with some very fine tools. I was impressed with how well this little machine worked and felt in my hand. It make wire stripping an easy chore and when I rewired my boat motor, it came in very handy. So much better than using a knife or scissors to score the insulation. Just insert the wire end to the desired cut and activate. Easy. Highly recommend. Great price too!

I use this wire stripper on my model railroad. I have wires installed below my track and I have needed to install wires from the track to a larger bus wire that runs underneath, so this wire makes it easy to separate the wire insulation and attach my smaller wire. I’ve always wanted a wire stripper like this!
