It’s no wonder that espresso is the most common coffee beverage all over the world. While many simply enjoy the charge it can offer, for many, the drinking of espresso is a valued social custom with endless varieties. In addition to lattes, Americano, and cappuccinos, the Cubans have ‘cortaditos’, the Colombians love their ‘tinto’ and of course there is the thick and unforgettable Turkish blend. Explore your favorite variety of ground espresso and make delicious homemade drinks in the comfort of your home.

This product was purchased for our office after the Fire Marshall objected to a single burner hot plate being used in a government office. Cuban Coffee club panicked at the grim prospect of no cafecito anymore. I started researching our alternatives. The idea of a traditional espresso machine was discarded for a variety of reasons such as – too fussy/labor intensive, too expensive for a really good one, capacity not big enough to serve 6 people at once. After some searching, I found this type of cafetera by several makers. All of them started out at about $70 each, which we would have gladly paid. I kept digging and finally found this one at Home Depot for $35!!!!!!It works great! The Cuban Coffee club is ecstatic! An additional bonus is that it works FAST and the coffee tastes great. We have had no problems with leaks or grounds in the coffee. And once again, peace reigns in our little office.
