So far I’ve used this Panini maker mostly for making quesadillas (a sort of Mexican sandwich made of soft tortillas with cheese and other fillings in between), and it has worked very well for that. This is a fairly small Panini maker; it can fit probably two smaller sandwiches next to each other or one larger sandwich, or one quesadilla made of just one burrito-size tortilla with filling and then folded over (see my pictures). However, this Panini maker appears well-made of stainless steel and is very sturdy, but not too heavy. The non-stick cooking plates are great; I have not felt the need to use any oil or butter to grease the plates. Clean-up has also been a breeze. Even if some of the sandwich filling should drip onto the plates (like cheese) while cooking and sticks onto the plates, a soft dish brush or cloth and some dish soap has been able to clean any stuck-on residue very easily.The Panini maker also has four adjustable height positions that can be chosen with a dial on the side, and this allows you to fix the top cooking plate to accommodate for the thickness of your panini sandwich(es). The panini maker also has a locking position, but this should only be used for storing the appliance. Another neat thing is that the electrical cord wraps out of sight on the bottom of the appliance and this makes for easier storage as well. The panini maker comes with a fairly detailed instruction booklet, however, no panini sandwich recipes are included, although those should be easy to find online. The panini maker has a one year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and/or workmanship.

It is great for at home use. A bit small and for Cuban sandwiches it won’t close completely, but it does not burn the bread. A bit difficult to determine if the Red vs. Green color indicators are on or off. Also, I could not determine with precision if the beep and color change was for ready to start or the cycle ended.Easy to clean. I recommend this product.

This panini maker has a flat non-stick surface that makes it easy to clean. The floating top part is well balanced for a complete closure. Sandwiches are evenly toasted on both sides. The spacing between the plates are very close to use on tortillas. This unit makes a grilled sandwich very very quick with its 1400 watts. The power and heat indicators lights add to the usability of this product.

This quality panini maker takes the basic grilled cheese sandwich to the next level. Easy and fun to use it helps kids learn how to make something else besides peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Clean up is simple and non-stick spray is actually discouraged in the instruction book. The top plate is adjustable to make sure you keep and even surface contacting the bread at all times. Also locks down to store.

I really like the press. The only strange thing is the knob to turn it on and move to the desired heat number. You turn the know but you aren’t sure what number it falls on because the last click will lock it.

This is a neat little appliance to have in the kitchen, especially if you’re into cooking using different techniques. The Panini maker is easy to use, very easy to clean and easy to store—it’s not a big cumbersome appliance. There is a side dial that you set for the amount of pressure required in the sandwich you’re making. The first sandwich I did was a ham and 2 types of cheese. What impressed me most is that the bread came out toasted without me having to add any butter/margarine or oil to the outside of the bread. Next I’m going to do a healthier version of toasted cheese. Healthier because I won’t need to slather butter on the outside and yet I know I will get a beautifully toasted cheese sandwich. The panini box did state that a recipe was included—-I never found the recipe; it wasn’t on the box, in the manual or anywhere else I could find. That was disappointing–it would have been fun to have had at least a handful of recipes included.

Got this press so I could make panini sandwiches at home. For my first attempt I decided to make Patty Melts. I cooked the onions and then the hamburger patties in a pan first. When it was time to assemble my sandwiches, I plugged the panini maker in to preheat. As soon as I plugged in the unit, BOTH the red AND green lights came on (pic 1). The instructions said that after approximately 5 minutes of preheating, the green light would come on and then it would be time to put the sandwich in. My green light was on from the start and remained on for several minutes and then went out. It was 5-6 minutes before it came on again and at this time I loaded my sandwiches in (pic 2). A lot of the cheese melted out…possibly because I set the adjustment too low or I used too much cheese (pic 3), but we just scooped it up onto our plates and they were delicious. My second attempt came out looking a little better… I made quesadillas (pic 4) However once again both the red AND green lights came on when the unit was plugged in.This basic panini maker/press is a good size for me because my family is raised and I don’t often need to cook more than 2 sandwiches. The rubber feet on the bottom keep the unit steady and still while loading and/or unloading sandwiches. It has a lock on it that keeps it closed, even when I store it vertically. The cord also can be wrapped under the unit to keep it neat and tidy while storing. I do miss seeing the grill marks on the outside of my sandwich like the panini I order in restsurants, but the flat, non-stick plates sure make clean-up fast and easy! The silver, stainless steel look is classy and fits in with my kitchen appliances. It seems to be well made as well.I do belive the instructions could be clearer and more detailed (example: what if your sandwich or quesadilla, pancake etc is thinner than the adjustments available?) The indicator lights need to be explained better too. The instruction manual did not indicate that both lights would come on immediately after plugging unit in. It also would be nice if even a few recipes had been included to get a newbie like me started.
