Wow, the quality of this light, cast iron pre-seasoned Wok with wooden handle is gorgeous. Even though it is cast iron it is not real heavy like most cast iron woks. Plus, there is a beautiful maroon color on the exterior of the wok which really makes it stand out. You can instantly see the quality of this wok the minute you pick it up. I am so glad I ordered this wok. Of course, the pre-seasoning of the wok is a definite plus because it provides the user with the time saving experience of nonstick qualities by not having to do all the prep work of just getting it to the point where it becomes useful. I have a gas range and wok cooking is the way to go for fast, healthy cooking without using a lot of oil.

Nice deep design, excellent cooking surface, and fairly priced make this wok a great kitchen addition (see review video below). But the handle design didn’t work for me and the cast iron surface is a bit tough to keep clean after use. Pros:Deep wall Design. At 14” this is a nice large wok that handles larger dishes and keeps splatter down. Cast Iron cooking surface. I liked using the cast iron surface. It sears well and heats evenly across the pan. Fairly priced. Hard to argue with a $29 price for a well-made pan that will likely last a lifetime. Cons:Handle design. I’m not fond of the traditional wooden handle design. Wood is harder to keep clean and harbors bacteria growth. High heat plastic or silicon are superior in my mind. Also the small handle became too hot to use without glove or hot pad anyway. Clean up. IMUSA recommends clean up with water only. No soap. This is keep the seasoned surface from rusting. Consequently it takes a bit more elbow grease to get it done. Also suggest you get stainless scrubby pad. About my rating:5 stars – Exceeds all expectations. Better than the competition in all aspects, design, cost, operation, and support (A+). 4 stars – Nicely done. Better than the competition and solves the problem. (B)3 stars – Works as expected. Has some shortcomings but gets the job done. Might be short in design, cost, longevity, or support. (C).2 stars – Falls short of expectations and needs improvement. Pass and look elsewhere. (D)1 star – Fails miserably. Does not get the job done, might even make things worse. Someone at the company should be fired. (F)

This is my very first wok purchase and I was a little apprehensive about ordering it and wondered if I really needed it but I took the plunge and ordered it anyway. I could not be any more pleased with the quality of this wok as it is made of a light cast iron with a quality wooden handle on it. It also comes already pre seasoned for use. I am really looking forward to doing a lot more wok cooking which I understand is more healthy for you. I also think that this wok will last many years with proper use.

I’ve been wanting to pick up a wok for some time now, as I have a great interest in cooking a lot of asian dishes, but the times I have attempted some of them in a standard pan haven’t been the greatest. This wok is excellent in that it is preseasoned cast iron, so it has excellent heat retention, and I put it to the test making a Chinese dish called Mapo Tofu. Cooking in it was a pleasure as it wasn’t heavy like I expected, and the dish came out great! I can’t wait to try other dishes like fried rice or noodles.

I received the Light Cast Iron Pre-Seasoned 14 in. Wok with Wood Handle. It was delivered with no damage. The quality looks great. It seems like it is a heavy duty Wok. I’m glad it has a wooden handle so it doesn’t get hot. My wife likes the non stick surface. Nothing sticks to it & it makes it a lot easier to clean up after using. She made a awesome stir fry today. A lot of the vegetables came out of of garden. We have a gas stove & it seems to heat evenly.

Easy To Clean. The interior has a durable, high quality, pre-seasoned finish that is easy to clean when you’re done cooking. The exterior is finished in a heat resistant red finish that also is easy to clean. The WOK is constructed from a light gage cast iron. This allows for more even heating than non- cast iron WOKS. Instructions for care and a recipe are on the inside of the label so save it. What I like the most about this WOK is its flat bottom. Its just the right size to fit the large heating element on my electric range. Other WOKS I have are round bottom and require a adapter ring to keep them centered on my range. See photos.

This is a traditional cast iron wok. My other two woks are aluminum and coated with a non-stick lining which quickly lost their non-stick qualities. With a little care, this wok should last forever because it can be cleaned and re-seasoned as needed. It does a great job of distributing the heat so there are no local hot spots to allow the food to burn. The generous size means I can cook enough food for six or more people without having to make it in separate batches. Thanks to this wok we will be eating even more oriental dishes.

lighter than expected, the inside looks like teflon but is just seasoned cast iron. I used a steel wok spoon on it and it worked very well. it sits flat against the glass top of the stove and heated quickly. I love this new pan and will get another one soon.

It’s a really good wok, especially if you care for it well and re-coat it with vegetable oil frequently.

This pan is beautiful! It’s the perfect size and the extra handle on the end makes all the difference when it comes to making stir fries or anything else your heart desires. It’s a great non stick material and the color on the outside is very pretty.
