When I received this steamer I was surprised by how light the box seemed. When I opened it I was also surprised by how big it was and started thinking about how much seafood I would be cooking in it. Since it is made of aluminum that explained the light weight. The handles on the sides and the top are rubber coated which is really nice since it keeps you from having to use a pot holder to take the lid off or to pick it up and move it from and too the heat. It has a nice steamer tray at the bottom which keeps what you are cooking from having to rest directly on the heating element. The steamer aluminum is pretty thin and I am concerned about its life due to that, but if that holds up that will be great.

I have not had a chance to use this yet but it came just as described. It appears to be constructed very well and is has plenty of room for boiling or steaming.

I cannot really give a better review on this Aluminum twenty quart Tamale and seafood steamer because I haven’t had an opportunity to use it. But as pots go, it’s light weight like the fact that the handles are covered to prevent burnt hands and the steamer rack. The pot I received does not have a glass dome like the picture which would have been an asset.

I gave this only 3 stars because this is a very thin and light pot. I bought it for boiling lobster and felt it was too small and light. I returned it and bought a 40 qt stock pot. this may be an ideal pot for someone that just wants to steam tomales.

Aluminum 20 Qt. Tamale and Seafood Steamer by IMUSAWhen Home Depot offered this tamale and seafood steamer I knew it had to be an addition to my kitchen. I promptly ordered it. It was well shipped and arrived in good order.IMUSA steamers are large capacity and durable; perfect for large-batch foods such as tamales, lobster, mussels, and corn on the cob! They are all aluminum, which means DO NOT put them in the dishwasher. They will be damaged. These must be hand washed. The steamer is excellently made, with the removable grate inside the pot. Glass top rounds off the steamer with a vent hole to prevent boil over, from pressure.I recommend these. I rate them 5*s out of 5.Thank you Home Depot for offering these.
