The pot is enormous, and because it is aluminum, weighs next to nothing, even with the lid on. Is very easy to handle, having good sized grips on two sides.Made lobsters yesterday, six 1 1/2 pounders and they fit beautifully in the pot. Added an inch of water and cooked the lobsters in 15 minutes after the steam started to fill the pot. The glass top makes it easy to see what is happening. The steam vent on the top was used to insert the instant read thermometer to see the temperature.

Great for family or social large batch steaming. I am frequently the designated griller/steamer/cook at our retirement village. Our usual turnout for a cookout is about 30 people and this pot is perfect for that use. I like steam cooking because it locks in nutrients and just tastes good .So far have used it for Lobsters, Crabs and corn on the cob. There are DIY substitutes for this steamer but this is just plain easy to use. It is aluminum, has a proper platform for keeping food out of water and a properly fitted lid with steam vent incorporated that maintains steam. The handles and knob are stay cool (reasonably). You can get creative by adding wine/ beer or broth below included tray that holds food out of steaming liquid. Dishwasher safe if it will fit. Highly recommend for large family/group gatherings.

This 32qt steamer pot is huge! Its about 15″ in diameter and about 14″ high. Its made out of aluminum so it is very light. There is a removable tray that sits in a groove at the bottom of the pot elevates what ever you are steaming above the liquid. The lid is glass and it has a knob in the center which makes it easy to remove from the pot. The retail price is $29.99 which is very fair and is in line with the quality of this product.

Despite being huge, this is very light (without the lid). The reason is because the aluminum is really thin, in fact it is so thin that I put a significant dent in it by simply bumping the stove. Fortunately dents don’t affect function. Each handle is attached with 4 big rivets. The tray is aluminum, and has two larger finger holes for removing it.I made a batch of two dozen tamales, and that didn’t even come close to filling this up, I could have easily fit twice as many. It worked as intended, and the tamales came out great.Overall quality is decent, but not great. The rim is too big for the lid, and it wobbles around. The rubber / plastic on the handles and lid handle have a strong plastic smell that takes several days to dissipate. The inside is showing signs of corrosion after about 5 or 6 uses, which makes me wonder how long it will last. But it is functional, and it gets the job done.
