Offering benefits of both glossy and matte papers, this 100 sheet pack of 4 x 6″ Pro Silky Paper from Inkpress Media features a silky finish that has the vibrance of glossy paper without suffering from handling and fingerprints common with the style. The paper is heavy as well with a 300 gsm basis weight and a 12 mil thickness. Also, the paper is designed for use with either dye- or pigment-based inks and offers a brightness of 95%. Further benefits are a high saturation with a wide tonal range with excellent color reproduction.

I bought this SILKY paper because it doesn’t have a watermark on the back — unlike most papers from Canon, Epson, and HP. The price was great, and the quality seems fine. The package is a bit annoying; it’s corrugated cardboard that folds opens on a flat side — not on an end, like a big envelope. I had to tape it to keep it shut.

I have been using InkPress’ Luster paper for some time, and stumbled on this. It is a real step up without a big cost. The texture is smooth but not too glossy, the feel of the paper is luxurious. Highly recommended.

Over the years. I have only used Canon Photo Paper. I bought other sizes with the Inkpress Name. I really like it. I just might change and use this Brand. It also says it is made in Switzerland. Maybe there standards are higher.

The Inkpress Pro Silky finish is perfect for prints that will be handled: just enough texture to hide fingerprints but not dull like matte or over-textured like canvas. It’s not on a level with the best paper I use for larger prints, but it doesn’t need to be, and it is very good. This is what I use for anything 5×7 or smaller. And did I mention that the price is right?

I started using this for actor portraits as a replacement for Breathing Color Luster. The colors are just as rich, and the printing surface is very nice as well. Using an Epson R3000.

I thought I was ordering a nice paper to use for notecards. But this is definitely photo paper in that the back wouldn’t be suitable for writing. It has that plasticky photo paper feel. It did print great though and I will use it for photos and announcements.
