This 100-sheet pack of 11 x 17″ Luster Paper from Inkpress Media features resin-coated microporous paper with a luster surface finish. This paper has a basis weight of 240 gsm and a thickness of 10.4 mil as well as a 95% brightness. Additionally, the paper is water and light resistant for durability and instant drying for immediate handling.

I do wedding and portrait photography and use this paper to print wedding photos for use at bridal fairs. Mounted on foam board, without frames, these photos really stand out and get the most attention at these events. The vibrant colors and smooth surface are great. Left unframed in my bright sunroom/porch for over 9 months, the photos show no signs of fading. This is not recommended, but it is used as my test. You would not believe how quickly some other papers fade.

I recently purchased 150 sheets of Photo Chrome RC Luster Paper (5×7) for a community college graduation ceremony. It was international students having there pictures taken with the president and a trustee of the school. I needed an inexpensive way to print them and so I decided to do them myself on my Epson 200 printer. The paper was fantastic and I will continue to use this paper for this type of job.

Luster has always been my favorite photo finish and this paper meets my expectations. It is an excellent value and just as nice as any other paper. Dries fast, good colors, nice tones and contrast. It is very nice that the Inkpress paper profiles are identical to Canon paper profiles so it works great on my Pixma 9000ii.

I have been useing Inkpress RC Luster for a few years now in all different sizes. This paper was awesome… nice weight, beautiful image. NOT ANYMORE! The company just changed it. Even though the packaging says the same weight that it always did the paper is now thiner. What junk!!!!

The paper works well for me. It is sufficiently bright and it is a nice weight. However, the product (and also 13×19 sheets) are insufficiently packaged in thin cardboard. The paper frequently arrives dented and the box always rips before the paper is used up. This is not the fault of the shipper.

I bought this paper to use for inexpensive proofs for prints that will end up on Epson Exhibition Fiber. As 100 sheet boxes are comparatively inexpensive, it’s more than adequate for this purpose. However, the paper clearly has a lower reflectivity than others (such as the Epson Glossy), nor is the base as white; it has a very slight yellow tinge, visible only in direct comparison. It’s also a bit prone to crimping if it’s not handled carefully. That being said, it does print well on my Epson R3000 with no obvious bleed. I’m glad this product exists. It has its place in the photographic ecology, but it’s not a superior product.
