One review said it’s like darkroom paper. However I dont agree, but I guess it depends on the type of darkroom paper. If you’re talking about matte darkroom paper, then yes this Inkpress matte paper is similar to matte darkroom paper. If you’re talking about fiber darkroom paper, then no. But anyways this Inkpress Media matte paper is good for printing photos if you’re looking for no shiny coating on the surface. The paper is thick, thicker than cardstock, and my printer takes the paper well without jams.

Inkpress papers are very good. See their site for exact printer settings (profiles) – they have noted the exact settings for many different printers; I guess it helps get the best results.

The ink was absorbed right away so I was able to turn the paper over and print on the other side right away which was nice but the image didn’t come out as nice or colorful as on the canon paper that came with my printer. Nice weight paper though.

I purchased this paper to print double sided spreads for my commercial photography portfolio. I ended up buying a Canon Pixma Pro 100 from B&H and using that for printing. The quality of the paper is great. It’s thick enough without being too thick, and it has a premium feel in the hand. The only downside is that there is no specific ICC profile for this paper when using a Canon Printer. The company website simply says that if you are using a Canon printer, to use Canon’s default profiles and you will get great results… Honestly, it took a lot of trial runs before I found the right settings for this paper. You would logically think that selecting an ICC profile for Matte paper would yield the best results; that was not the case at all. In fact, the results were sometimes terrible. Here’s the secret to getting a great print from your Canon Pixma Pro 100 using this Inkpress Matte 80 paper: Printing from Photoshop CC, using a calibrated monitor, selecting sRGB 8bit for the color space, choosing Photoshop Manages Colors & Canon Pro 100 1/2 Photo Paper Plus Glossy Gold inside of Photoshop & then selecting Matte Photo Paper N in the printer settings dialogue gave me spot on results and the quality prints that I was looking for. Once I figured that out, I printed my entire portfolio and my prints were spot on with my calibrated monitor.

This cardstock is really great. I use it to print invitations that I sell to customers. It works perfectly with my Epson R2000 — the colors come out bright, rich, vibrant and beautiful. Photos print out well on this paper too. The weight is pretty good. I think the price is fantastic for the quality. I have had a few issues with some batches containing damaged sheets but B&H was really awesome about it and gave me a refund. I would recommend this paper.

This paper is spectacular. I use the correct printing profile downloaded from the INKPRESS website, and print on a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 with superb results. The paper has great body to it, and the 8×10 size is VERY handy for the cards I print on it. The price is great as well.

Inexpensive alternative matte finish makes a nice presentation. Use for place holders a dining events, table numbers and even for Wedding invitations with photograph silhouetted behind the typed details. On a faster print setting, you do get an occasional paper jam but that was not evident on the slower high quality printer setting. all in all a good product from a good company B&H !

This is great paper for making calendars, portfolios, and other documents that are printed on two sides. It does the job at a reasonable price. Nice weight, not light, but not too heavy or stiff.

Im a freelance printer, working with professional photographers. Recently a client requested this paper. Hesitant at first I reluctantly accepted, but was very pleased with the result good weight, smooth surface and great tonality. Worked with Epson 4880 under matte setting using colorburst RIP.

I used this product for printing photos for class. Its a good thick paper that’s double sided, which is convenient for when you don’t know which way the paper goes for specific printers. However there is a warm tint to the paper which I didn’t expect and doesn’t really go well with my photography. Thats the only problem I have with it. Additionally Inkpress makes it extremely easy to get the ICC Profiles for all of their papers, which is very convenient.

I USED THIS PHOTO PAPER TO MAKE ‘SAVE THE DATE’ CARDS FOR MY DAUGHTER’S WEDDING. THEY CAME OUT SUPER AND VERY HAPPY WITH THE PAPER. NEEDED DOUBLE SIDED SO THAT WAS A NEEDED FIND! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I use this as card stock and for prints to frame or mount. It has very bold color on the Canon Pro-100. Existing Canon Matte Photo Profiles work well. It’s heavy enough to give a professional look to a card but still allows for easy handling. Being double sided helps a great deal and the price is a lot better per sheet than many other brands.

The best buy in Matte paper.

I have used this product only a few times so far in tests. So far I am impressed. At this time, the product is a needed compliment to the rest of my papers which are glossy. It remains to be seen how the pictures are received by others, but so far the results are promising.
