Has a purpose I guess but I wish I would not have purchased it.

I use this paper mostly for postcards and business cards with my Canon Pixma Pro-100. The print quality is crisp and beautiful, especially with text and line art. Photos can be a little tricky to set up, but still print beautifully. The cotton fibers are very fine and give the paper a smooth, luxurious feel. The warm tone is my favorite, but cold tone is also nice if you are needing a brighter white.

I use this paper with my Canon Pro9000 II printer. Colors and contrast are excellent. I love the warm white color of the paper itself. It measures RGB254 254 254 using an uncalibrated Epson scanner and PS CS2, also uncalibrated, for the measurement. At the moment, I am printing on both sides, making calendars for Christmas. Beautiful! One caveat, though–this paper is said to be tested for permanence by Wilhelm Imaging Research for 100+ years with Epson, Canon, and HP inks, but I think that was with Canon Pigment inks, not the dye inks used in the Pro9000 series.

I mostly used Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 before, and still do for my prints, but switched to this paper when it comes to my marketing products. It is a very nice, thick paper, which has a lovely warm tone and very little texture. Highly recommended!!

For many years I’ve been using Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, Museo Max, and Epson Hot Press Natural on my large format printers, a Canon ipf5000 and an Epson 3880. When the Canon stopped working, suddenly I was limited to sheet paper rather than also having roll paper in any length. In my search for sheet paper longer than 22 inches, I came across this paper, which is available in 17×25, so thought I’d give it a try in the smaller size before investing in the larger size. While this paper is 100% rag and without OBAs, it appears to be about the whitest of any of the rag natural or warm papers. Over several weeks of experimenting and intentional abuse, I couldn’t get the coating to flake and the color gamut is at least as good as any other rag paper if not slightly better. Plus I like being able to print on either or both sides. All in all, this is a fantastic paper, comparable to the best I have used and suitable for archival projects and discriminating customers. Plus I love that it is made in the oldest or one of the oldest small papermills–Manadnock Mills–in the Americas, up in New England, and a company which is a national voluntary leader in water conservation and recycling.

In the midst of printing a one-person show, I ran out of the high-end paper I was using and realized that I had two boxes of this Inkpress Warm Rag in my paper cabinet. Ended up printing about half the show on the 17×25 size and used a whole box of 81/2×11 printing up the announcement mailing. This paper is definitely capable of producing outstanding art prints. The colors are reproduce deep and saturated. Ive actually been surprised about how many people have complimented this paper for its feel. Highly recommend.

Inkpress has done a great job making a high quality Rag Printing Paper. Indeed the 24 Mil sheet is quite impressive with a very handsome finish for both surfaces. The heft of the sheet is remarkable. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the paper has a very significant red color bias. Surprised to the extent to the red tint, I immediately made another print using a different profile; one advised from their web address. With this new profile, the same red cast occurred. Using the same digital file, I then printed the image on the standard paper which I have been using for the past several months: Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl 320 gsm 100% Cotton Rag Natural White Pearl-Finish, this, set to the standard profile for that paper. The file indeed printed beautifully, faithful to the intended colors. Every few weeks in the studio, I carefully calibrate the monitor using x-rite i1 Display Pro and have been very satisfied with accuracy of color rendition in printing sessions. My experience with this paper suggest that a more accurate description of this particular product might read: Inkpress Media Rag Red Tone, rather than Warm Tone. Perhaps this paper can be reserved for image files that might benefit from this noticeable shift. Just a note about my experience with this product. Thank you.
