A digital image is only as good as the paper it is printed on, and Innova is one of the premier lines of inkjet paper. The Innova FibaPrint Series of Photo Printing Papers aims to meet the demands of the fine-art photographer with highly critical tastes in printers, inks, and substrates. FibaPrint papers are designed to emulate traditional fine art light-sensitive fiber papers; its hand and tooth closely resemble the texture of traditional museum-grade prints. Innova papers are a truly archival, acid-free paper with a natural grade, and are precisely coated for inkjet printing. It is offered with a variety of surface textures between smooth and matte, as well as choices between a bright white and warm tone color base.

Outstanding fine art semi-gloss paper, capable of surpassing the finest fiber-based glossy darkroom papers of old, when used with one of the Epson K-3 printers (2400, 2880, 3880, etc). For those who’ve never worked in the darkroom, you should know the surface finish, which is listed as glossy, is NOT an ultra smooth high gloss finish, but rather an elegant semi-gloss finish with a subtle texture. This finish nicely replicates the best of the air-dried fiber-based glossy silver gelatin prints (vintage f-type gloss prints that you see in fine art galleries). It has a more elegant appearance and a much higher quality feel than Epson’s Premium Semi-Gloss paper, or even the Moab Colorado Fiber White Gloss 245, although the latter is also a very good paper when a lighter weight paper is desired. The Innova color is a neutral white, not bright or cool white. Innova Fibaprint also comes in a warm white which is vanilla in color and ideal for some black-and-white portraits, or any application where more warmth is needed (even with color). Most important, The Innova FibaPrint f-type white gloss will give you the finest quality black-and-white prints with the K3 inks, and it prints up very nicely in color, too. I handcolor some of my black and white portraits in Photoshop (for a mid 20th century look) and these look outstanding. A truly great all around 300 weight paper for Epson K3 Printers (can’t vouch for Canon or HP) that should be used for your best work. Also, if you get a tiny imperfection in your print, there is no need to reprint, as it can easily be retouched with Spotone retouching inks, in the same manner as the gelatin silver prints. Finally, I should add that this paper will not jam in the Epson printers, as some other papers do — a big plus!

Printing with the Epson 2400 this paper gives a good quality print for framing/exhibition quality. For the ones who used to print their negatives on Agfa warmtone Baryt paper this is like a sentimental journey. No replacement ofcourse, but close enough. A very unique quality. Enjoy! ps: curls up, therefore smears easily on the corners.
