Compatible with their X299 chipset-based motherboards, the Core i9-10900X 3.7 GHz 10-Core LGA 2066 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.7 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Optane Memory and SSD support, Intel Device Protection with Boot Guard, Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d), Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT), and AES-NI. With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 4.5 GHz, and with Intel Turbo Boost 3.0 technology, it can further be boosted to 4.7 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 10 cores with 20 threads in an LGA 2066 socket, has 19.25MB of cache memory, and 48 PCIe lanes. Having 10 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 20 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 256GB of 2933 MHz DDR4 memory.
Intel did not design this processor with an integrated graphics chipset, meaning that users will need to purchase a compatible and dedicated graphics card of their choice. If you need even more performance, this processor is unlocked, which lets you overclock the processor over its maximum speed. However, this is not recommended, as it will void the limited 3-year warranty.
Please note that a CPU cooler is not included and must be purchased separately.

Shipment from the warehouse was quick and I had it a couple days after I ordered it. I installed this processor in an Asus Prime X299 motherboard without any problems. The tabs on the sides of the processor chip made it easier to handle it while putting it in its socket. Once I had everything connected it powered up without problems. This processor runs fast. If I put some CPU intensive work on it, running in the background, it doesn’t really slow down whatever else I am using the computer for.

I upgraded from a i7-7820X so I could have the full 48 PCI express lanes for more NVME SSD’s directly connect to my CPU using a Strix Gaming X299 and Asus Hyper M.2 Card. In my opinion this is a very nice upgrade for those of us who are on X299 and are upgrading from 16 and 28 PCI express lane CPU’s (i7-7800 X series). There are better and cheaper processors on the market right now if you’re building a new system but for those of us that will remain on X299 for a few more years I highly recommend this part.

When it comes to CPU’s, there’s not much to post other repeat manufacturer specs and share ones individual experience… First off, B&H had a good price and shipped the product fast, providing email & tracking for every step… As a first time customer, I appreciate good business and B&H gets 5 stars as well. Thank you. As to my setup, ASUS X299-E ROG Strix Gaming II, 32GB Kingston Predator running at 3000,… The raid setup is nice, it’s done in the UEFI and not a separate splash screen at boot up (such as having to hit ctrl I/A during boot)… Power supply is a Seasonic X1250 .. (Make sure you have a beefy supply…. Video card is a Titan XP Star Wars edition… (Wish I could buy a 3000 series) Overall, very satisficed customer!
