The Core i5-7600K 3.8 GHz Quad-Core LGA 1151 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 4.2 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 4 cores with 4 threads in an LGA 1151 socket and has 6MB of cache memory. Having 4 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 4 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 64GB of DDR4-2400/2133 and DDR3L 1600/1333 RAM at 1.35V, has AES New Instructions, 14nm lithography, and utilizes 7th Generation (Kaby Lake) technology. This OEM version of the Intel Core i5-7600K processor comes in a tray packaging and a 1-year warranty.
Graphically, the Core i5-7600K 3.8 GHz Quad-Core LGA 1151 Processor uses integrated Intel HD Graphics 630. This processor is also unlocked, meaning that it can be overclocked past its maximum turbo frequency. However, overclocking past the maximum turbo frequency is not recommended. Not only will it cause the processor to run much hotter, it will also void the limited 1-year warranty.

I use this CPU in my current computer build. It performs very well though it sometimes is the weak end and adds to the lag while gaming, I have yet to try overclocking, but it is a great piece of hardware for the price.

Although Kaby Lake has gotten a lot of flak, it’s still a great overclocker. This is currently running at 5.2GHz in my rig, with only 1.35v. Obviously, your results may vary based on the silicon lottery, but all in all 5ghz was shockingly easy to achieve. If you need a system right now and can’t wait and see what AMD is doing with Ryzen, I highly recommend this chip.

A great CPU with 4 cores

Blazing fast. Best bang for buck Intel processor for under $250. I would take this over AMD 8 core any day.

If they’re going to ship these things with awful thermal compound under the integrated heat spreader, they should just leave the IHS off to begin with and let the end user add their own and re-lid it.

This processor is perfect for my needs of gaming. I was on the fence about the i7 vs this one and I wasn’t disappointed with the performance.

Exactly what I expected, the intel I5 is the perfect amount of power once overclocked. Using this until AMD’s cpus are launched.
