The 1TB 660P NVMe M.2 Internal SSD from Intel features QLC (Quad Level Cell) technology, which offers more capacity per NAND cell, enabling solid-state storage at more affordable price points. Moreover, it utilizes the PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 interface that has a higher bandwidth when compared to SATA for sequential read and write speeds of up to 1800 MB/s and 1800 MB/s respectively. With a M.2 2280 form factor, the Intel 660P SSD is compatible with a wide variety of notebooks, desktops, and mobile devices.

Really happy to have a successful Macbook Pro 2015 13 upgrade using this hard drive. I used other helpful reviews here to purchase the adapter, boot flash drive, and Macbook tools needed, but otherwise a simple process!

This SSD is great, great for a cheap boot drive, game storage, file storage, a good all arounder with okay technology. What I did not realize before I purchased this SSD is how bad the write speeds drop after the cache is full. There is more documentation on youtube about this and I will spare the details, here is what happened. I was copying 1.3 TB of Raw footage to this drive, it was writing at the limit of my external SSD for about 200GB. Then, it suddenly drops off to 180mb/s, then later to 80mb/s. This drive is perfect for regular use, however, if you do large file transfers as I do, be wary of the drop-off in speeds. It edits footage VERY WELL, with two people pulling 3:1 black magic raw off it in 4k at the exact same time. This is NOT an SSD you want as a cache for a NAS, but for normal PC applications, it does exactly what it was designed to do.

Bought the 2TB Intel 660p (SSDPEKNW020T8X1) a few months ago after trying several other cards in my 2014 MacBook Pro Retina. This one has worked perfectly under MacOS 10.14 with Sintech NGFF long adapter (ST-NGFF2013C). All the others Ive tried (even OWC that doesnt need adapter) pulled way more power and would stop working under large file writes. So glad to see this product available at B&H now!

I just put it in. Time will tell. Didn’t do speed test or anything yet but I wanted for a small form factor PC and it is quite small. So far so good. Best price I could find was here at b&h. It is good legit and all. Get it. Small and fast.

It’s remarkable what an improvement in drive access can do for your gaming experience! This tiny package represents a huge upgrade for so many games where local data upload/download speeds have an impact. Installed two weeks ago in a mini-PC build and have nothing but raves for this piece of equipment.

Good quality from Intel as always

Replaced a 500meg with this 2TB and love it. Obviously lots of space but seems faster the the OEM Dell SSD.

Put two of these drives in HP Z4 G4 Workstation in RAID 0 and the speed is amazing.

Loading times are really good. Night and day difference from a non ssd drive. Get one of these, you will not be disappointed.

This was purchased with the purpose of building a photo/video editing machine. My rendering times were cut more than half and photo processing became instant with all the other parts I had purchased from BHPhoto. I highly recommend this M.2 SSD.

I rebuilt my computer, and this memory installed without issue and is super fast. I would recommend! Great price, too!

Its not as fast as a Samsung 970, but its much faster than SATA SSDs and about half the price of a 970. The write endurance of all the new QLC SSDs are not as long as previous TLC parts and there is more latency, but an improved error correction algorithm and an SLC and RAM cache are used to make up for this. I believe it should last long enough for most non-enterprise users.

This is my second NVMe M.2 drive and it performs like a champ! Coming from standard SSDs, this is noticeably quicker. It just needs a heatsink to be perfect. And you cannot beat that price!

Really great SSD for the money. Highly recommended.
