The 1TB 660P NVMe M.2 Internal SSD from Intel features QLC (Quad Level Cell) technology, which offers more capacity per NAND cell, enabling solid-state storage at more affordable price points. Moreover, it utilizes the PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 interface that has a higher bandwidth when compared to SATA for sequential read and write speeds of up to 1800 MB/s and 1800 MB/s respectively. With a M.2 2280 form factor, the Intel 660P SSD is compatible with a wide variety of notebooks, desktops, and mobile devices.

Biggest bang for the buck at the time.

I have this disk running as D: while my C: OS disk is the Samsung EVO 870 512GB. Yeah, you’ll read everywhere that the Intel is much slower than the EVO when looking at the benchmarks; the truth is that you very probably won’t feel the difference in day-to-day applications. In summary, best price/performance you’ll see at this time.

Very good speeds. Seems quite stable. Would purchase another one.

SSD’s have come quite a long way since 2013, when a 120gb Boot drive was considered a privilege. This M.2 SSD is more than 40 times faster than an HHD, while using less power, and the prices continue to drop as the tech becomes more readily available. Definitely recommend as a secondary drive. Don’t use this as a primary Boot drive, as it’s sustained performance can be a little spotty for continuous reads/writes.

I got it when it was on sale for $85 to replace the hard disk on my computer. It’s fast and works great so far.

Only place that had them in stock. It is an excellent drive.

For everyday use, ignore the benchmarks. I can’t tell the difference compare to my Samsung 970 Pro. I bought one for just extra storage for my main desktop, hoping the slow benchmark won’t be an issue, after a couple days, I bought another 2T for my office PC.

Installed and seems to be working well in a Synology DS918 . Will be giving it a good workout soon.

I have an older computer that is suffering from a slow disk. As it is older, the computer does not have an M2 port for this M.2 disk. What to do? Just wave it over the top of the computer? Nah, a simple solution is out there. What is needed? An M.2 to PCIe interface card. They are available from B&H as well as a lot of other places. Just install this M.2 SSD into the interface card, then plug the card into any PCIe x16 slot. You now have a storage device that is faster than the usual 2.5 SSD that is connected via SATA cable.

I popped this in a HP Specter laptop that i frankly dont use much, but when i do I dump a ton of video and photos. To get 2 TB easily into a tiny laptop for so little cash was great. Granted the longevity of this drive is not the same as others, but given my use case its perfect.

it is good, installed as internal reaches 2000 mb / s speed

It’s amazing they can fit so much capacity on such a small form factor, and that it is so lightning fast!

Fast service. Drive works great for a modest game build. The wife is happy the computer does up quickly!

I had this M.2 internal SATA HD installed in my work computer when I realized I had more data from my previous computer than the supplied 250gb hard drive could hold. So for $200 or so this was a great deal. It’s slower than some of the other drives as far as write and read speed but I suspect it is every bit as fast as the HD it replaced. No complaints, I just wish I could buy and replace my MacBook Pro HDs as cost effective as this.

Scant availability, get them while they’re in stock! Prices vary wildly for this drive so be diligent! – Very no-frills packaging that’s very recyclable. – For anything else refer to the online reviews of this thing… but I think it catches too much flak for what it is. – I would love to see someone do a write saturation test to see what the absolute max TBW is! Maybe then, we’ll see whether or not we should give QLC any shade! I want to be optimistic and think that maybe it’ll last like 3000 cycles, but I’m not holding my breath.

You can get 665p, a newer model for like for about 120~250 which is a lot cheaper.

Bought the 2TB Intel 660p (SSDPEKNW020T8X1) in May 2020 for my 2014 MacBook Pro Retina. This one has worked excellently using MacOS 10.14. Purchased a Sintech NGFF long adapter (ST-NGFF2013C) based on another reviewer. I cloned the old Apple 1TB to the 2TB intel, took out the Apple SSD and installed the Intel 2TB. It took 10 minutes total time and it booted perfectly. I activated Mac OS TRIM command and rebooted again. One month later so far I’m loving the extra space! Speed seems just as fast as factory issue. Recommended! Also- Purchased OWC external case specifically made for the Apple SSD. Now have a compact 1TB external for my phone’s photos as well!
