The 1TB 660P NVMe M.2 Internal SSD from Intel features QLC (Quad Level Cell) technology, which offers more capacity per NAND cell, enabling solid-state storage at more affordable price points. Moreover, it utilizes the PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 interface that has a higher bandwidth when compared to SATA for sequential read and write speeds of up to 1800 MB/s and 1800 MB/s respectively. With a M.2 2280 form factor, the Intel 660P SSD is compatible with a wide variety of notebooks, desktops, and mobile devices.

With an MTBF of over 100 years they’re the closest yet to permanent storage, this is my 3rd one. Making investments in them as I go along.

It is fast (enough), and at least for now the only choice to get a 2 TB drive into a slim laptop. Unlike most M.2 SSD drives, which have components on both sides of the board, these drives are one sided. It makes them thin enough to fit into laptops.

Finally made the jump from SSD to M.2 and the performance improvement is very noticeable. Not quite as noticeable as going from HDD to SSD, but a welcome improvement in boot times and read/write speeds.

Just installed to replace the 256GB drive that came with the PC. Did not notice any changes in performance, which is a good thing. Glad to find a nice upgrade at B&H.

This 2 TB nvme ssd is not the fastest car on the track, but it’s way faster than any SATA drive and about the same price. It’s probably the best value I could find.
Zoila Wuckert (verified owner) –
These are as fast as any gamer needs right now and price wise not cheap but worth the price for the speed you get.

I bought this SSD while on sale, and couldn’t be happier. I also purchased a Sabrent USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure with an eye toward building a lightweight, ultra fast portable external drive for shooting on location or while on vacation. The SSD slipped into the enclosure very easily. Straight forward, simple assembly. I plugged it into my Mac, and was greeted with a message saying the computer couldn’t read it. But of course!! It needed to be formatted. I format all of my external drives in NTFS format, and that was accomplished in just moments. This has been one of the easier builds for an SSD I have come across.

It is solid and a great value not as the Samsung or gigabyte NVMe drives but i wouldn’t complain much.

I’ve installed this SSD in an external USB 3.1 enclosure and it works great with Win 10 computers. It gets a bit hot during work but no issues.

So far the drive has been performing great. My read/write speeds have doubled and I’ve quadrupled my storage capacity on my Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro 15 using the Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card.

To me for 95$ you get 1TB of 1.8GB/S SSD which is unbeatable by any other competitors

It’s difficult to note the difference in load times between this and the 970 EVO in my main pc for normal, daily tasks.

950 mbps read write tested. Works flawless. Put in a portable USB-c enclosure.

Work great how it says in the description

Had a Toshiba 256GB SSD in the M.2 slot, it was almost full so swapped over to this 1TB 660p. I was only expecting more space, was very pleasantly surprised at how much quicker the laptop is at loading up a big Photoshop Elements catalog! Much of that is probably the Toshiba slowing as it got so full and there weren’t blocks available for wear-leveling, etc … but the effect is real and welcome. Good job B&H: good price, shipped quickly, in rational packaging.

Small size, low price, and huge capacity. What’s there not to love? This might not be the fastest possible drive, but it’s so fast I don’t know if I could tell the difference outside of a benchmark.

Scant availability, get them while they’re in stock! Prices vary wildly for this drive so be diligent! – Very no-frills packaging that’s very recyclable. – For anything else refer to the online reviews of this thing… but I think it catches too much flak for what it is. – I would love to see someone do a write saturation test to see what the absolute max TBW is! Maybe then, we’ll see whether or not we should give QLC any shade! I want to be optimistic and think that maybe it’ll last like 3000 cycles, but I’m not holding my breath.

I was looking for the smallest form factor mass storage device possible to use as a time machine backup for Time Machine backups of multiple Mac laptops. I paired this with a small aluminum USB-C to NVMe enclosure, and have arrived at the perfect solution. Extremely small and light, I no longer have any excuses not to back up my data. While this isn’t the fastest NMVe drive out there, it’s certainly adequate to use in a desktop system – and 2TB of relatively slow NMVe SDD beats 2TB of SATA based spinning disk every time. I’d use a different product as a boot disk, but this is perfect for fast mass storage – a great option over 2.5 SATA SSDs, so long as your motherboard can accept it.

With the help of Kaisi 5pcs MacBook Repair Tool Kit, I was able to install Intel 660p 1TB m.2 2280 PCIe Encrypted Internal SSD using Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card. Installation was simple. I now have 1TB of fast storage on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)!

BH’s attention was very good and they recommended this ssd album and, to be honest, very good advice. I use the portable to edit and with this disc, it works better.
