With a USB 3.0 PCIe card installed, we have horrendous Bluetooth interference and can’t use BT mouse/keyboard when just a few feet away. With this little dongle connected to a monitor or a usb extension cable (anything that doesn’t have your Mac Pro in between your BT devices and the dongle) we get great reception. Be sure to configure your Mac to use the dongle instead of the built-in bluetooth card: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/94402/force-os-x-to-use-bluetooth-dongle-instead-of-built-in-controller

Works for my 2009 MacPro 4,1. Helped with stuttering issues with Apples Magic mouse. Also cured stuttering issues with my Bluetooth Sony over the ears headset. Before, I could only listen to music if I kept my head still. Now Im free to move around without audio interuption!

This was the recommended Bluetooth adapter to go with some Sennheiser Bluetooth headphones that we purchased to use with a non-Bluetooth enabled Windows machine. On Windows 10 we got some fun blue screens and some voluntary and involuntary reboots. After much tweaking and software updating it finally worked. It took awhile for an IT staff person to get this functional, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a plug-and-play device for anyone using Windows 10.

This would be a great product if it didn’t stop working after about 40 minutes. I have to reboot the computer then it works fine…for about another 40 min. Happens on both Mac and Windows.

Try as a I might I could not make this IOGEAR Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter work. Both with WIN10 drivers native to OS and IOGear drivers. Even tried drivers I found from Broadcom the chipset OEM. This Bluetooth 4.0 version is also NOT supported in Win7 OS. That was another nice day spent dicking around. Called tech support for IOGear, spoke to a real human being on the phone. Tried a few things, no joy and hung up. He said he has seen it work in Win10 but build ver 2004 experiences problems. Naturally, that’s the latest version and currently mine. And just so you know – I’ve worked with computers since 1978 so – yeah, I’m pretty competent with them. Sigh….no joy. I give up
