I got this adapter because I often find myself in a situation where I can use Ethernet over wireless, but needed an adapter for my new late-2016 15 MacBook Pro with Touchbar to be able to do so. The IOGEAR adapter works perfectly, but I wish it included an LED to show connectivity. The MacBook Pro doesn’t have a dedicated Ethernet port, so if activity isn’t displayed on the adapter, there is no way of knowing that the adapter has successfully connected to the network. Why is that important? In a hotel room, the Ethernet cable is often frayed or the plastic clip pulled away from the insulation. An LED would assist in confirming connectivity. Other than that one criticism, I’m very pleased with the IOGEAR adapter. It’s lightweight and works perfectly.

All I had to do was plug it in and I was instantly on Gig ethernet. It works as advertised.
