I bought the ISPRING 6-Stage with Booster Pump and UV Sterilizer 100GPD Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filtration System. My well water was not good, 430 ppm total dissolved solids and 4 ppm of iron in the water, it tasted bad and had a bit of bad smell to it as well. After going through this new filter the total dissolved solids dropped to 12 ppm so the filter is doing a good job. The water tasted OK but it did not feel good in my mouth, it is kinda like drinking distilled water. So to fix this, I added an ISPRING FA15 10 in. Inline 3-Layer Alkaline Replacement Water Filter Cartridge with Mineral Balls, Calcite and Corosex, this adds minerals back into the water and brings the total dissolved solids back up the 45 ppm. The water now tastes great and it feels good in your mouth as well. I should have bought the 7 stage filter to start with, it only cost me a couple extra dollars to add the 7th stage as an afterthought so it wasn’t an expensive mistake.I installed my filter in my basement, I think you’d have a difficult time putting this unit under your sink in the cabinet. The system mounted easily, the directions supplied were very straight forward and easy to understand. I also added a tee connector to the system and hooked the water up to my refrigerator so the ice is great and I can get cold water from my fridge. I mounted the faucet that comes with this system in the master bathroom.
