- 1st stage: high-capacity 5 micron 10 in. polypropylene sediment filter, removes dust, particles, and rust, tested by independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standard
- 2nd stage: granular activated carbon (GAC) 5 micron 10 in. filter gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes and odors, cloudiness and colors, tested by independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standard
- 3rd stage: carbon block (CTO) 5 micron 10 in. filter removes any residual chlorine, tastes and odors, compounding the pre-filters’ efficiency and extending the RO membrane’s life, tested by independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standard
- 4th stage – high rejection .0001 micron TFC reverse osmosis membrane — the heart of the RO system, produces drinking water at a rate of 100 Gal. per day
- 5th stage: total polishing inline post carbon filter removes any possible residual tastes and odors from the tank, tested by independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standard
- Booster pump: the pre installed booster pump brings low (under 45 PSI) incoming water pressure up to the optimal level for the reverse osmosis process

The product arrived on schedule. The parts are well labeled and install was clear and simple; there are several adapters to help with various home piping. Startup went as described. Flow rate was about 1 litre/quart per minute which is fine. That litre then requires about 10-15 minutes of pump run time – fully automated- to refill the pressurized reservoir. This unit has a booster pump because our well water is very hard and our pump produces low pressure – and a lot of pressure is needed to make the RO membrane function. Best experience was the phone support. They also exchanged the standard brushed nickel faucet for a more farmhouse looking unit. Would give 5-stars except that a few of the tiny but necessary “blue clips” for securing the novel “shark” type tubing connectors were not provided – so I had to improvise a bit. Very nice treated water product. Great for coffee and cooking. For mineralized drinking water I’ve been adding a cheap calcium/magnesium tablet to a gallon jug. No more lugging gallons of water from the store!

-high quality system with excellent installation instructions. -chose a model with the booster pump in order to ensure more efficient operation at the membrane (less waste water). An added benefit is faster filling of the storage tank as well as higher flow at the faucet.-most reviews state that the pump is “whisper quiet”; it is.Leaving nothing to chance though, I placed high density foam under and behind the unit. See photos. Any possible vibrations from the pump, that would be amplified by the kitchen cabinetry, are now absorbed by the foam. The sound of the pump running, when tank needs to be periodically filled, is undetectable.- instructions state that if mounting/hanging unit, you should also support the three filter housings from the bottom in order to not have the water weight stress the filter canister threads. I chose not to hang the unit. I simply placed the unit on my high density foam and it leans back nicely on another piece of foam behind it.- all colour coded interconnecting tubing was left full length so that when changing filters in the future, I can simply slide the unit out on to the kitchen floor with out disconnecting any of the tubing to Feed Water, Drain, Storage Tank and Faucet.-pump power cord plugs into a receptacle in the basement that is right under the kitchen installation. That was just a bit of luck.-filters need to be replaced regularly in order to protect the heart of the system, the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane. The 2 and 3 year filter replacement packs are similar in that they have enough filters to allow replacement of pre-filters every 6 months. They differ in that they each only have one replacement RO membrane rated for 2-3 years use. It’s just the two of us, using city water, so we’ll go with the more cost effective 3 year supply of filters, replacing the RO membrane every 3 years. If your water is particularly dirty, you may be wise to buy the 2 year pack and replace your RO membrane every two years.-believe that an RO system is functioning as designed if it can remove 90% of the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), from your drinking water. I have a iSpring TDS meter on order, with which to monitor my drinking water and thus the effectiveness of the system. If TDS levels, measured in PPM, start to increase, I may have to change filters more often. The manual is very helpful in this regard.

I bought this from the home depot website. The faucet that came with it did not match our kitchen faucet colour. So I reached out to Ispring the manufacturer if I could exchange the faucet to an oil rubbed black. Within 3 days the faucet was at my door! Excellent Support and customer service!!! My cousin has also a RO system from ispring and he very happy with it. Can’t wait until I have my water filtration fully installed.

Had a highly problematic kinetico water system. Got tired of troubleshooting it and read the reviews for the ispring and went with the 5-stage with pump model. Was fairly easy to replace the kinetico and install the ispring. The pump is ultra quiet and is no louder than a hum when it’s on. The water pressure provided is excellent and could not ask for faster. Did not need to use the customer service line and all plus more material was provided. Really positive experience with product.

Easy to install. The pump makes the system much more efficient and the water flow from the tap is fast.

Installed this item about a week ago and it works as expected. Used it to replace a ten year old RO system that was starting to give problems. After a couple of days the water TDS was down to 7ppm which is very good. Only small problem was the tank that came with the unit had a very small leak ( about 1 small drop of water every one to two minutes) on the tank nipple. Probably a small pin hole in the weld that would be nearly impossible to pick up when testing. I contacted the manufacturer as told to by the install instructions and they replied in less than a day. I described to Nick my problem and as soon as I sent proof of purchase via their web site a new tank was on its way to me. Some of the best service I have ever had from a supplier. I would recommend this system highly, especially because of customer service. One last mention is all the spare parts that are supplied with this RO unit. You should never be short of a lost or broken small piece with what they include.
