I have not used it many times, but I did learn quickly that you really need to preheat the unit and slide the bag through slowly. I also found that after sealing to wait a 1/2 minute or so before removing the top flap. That way the seal has cooled and bonded. Seems to work fairly well if I do it this way.

I wish I would have spent the extra money and gotten a sealer that you put the bag in a press down. This sealer is difficult to seal with because you have to pull the bag through so you clamp the sealer pull one way and they the opposite way to get a full seal and sometimes takes several tries. It’s ok but I would not waste my money on them again.
