Once connected, the adapter makes it possible to plug in dual HDMI displays which can be configured to work simultaneously with extended mode, expansion mode, or mirror mode. The j5create adapter supports resolutions up to 4K@30 Hz to ensure you receive a crisp, clear picture quality.
Note: MacOS only supports mirror mode.

I got this for my Lenovo think pad so I could use 2 27 inch monitors. Had 2 other HDMI splitters that only allowed duplicate the desktop. This made the Laptop see both monitors and could extend to both of them.

Unless you want to mirror your desktop image on two monitors (and what would be the point of that), this product is worthless. It appears that it used to allow users to extend their screen between two monitors, but now (I have a 2016 MacBook Air) Apple’s software doesn’t allow that. The solution, if you’re using older Mac equipment and want to use two monitors, is to use your MiniDisplay port for one, and a device like this (although I got the single HDMI version) for the other monitor. But don’t try to split the signal to two monitors through one port with this device. It won’t work.

I bought this thinking it may be the only thing I can find on the market that can extend display on a MacBook Air 2019. Of course it doesn’t and the box has to be pristine in order to send it back or they charge you which is ridiculous. Anyway basically threw it out because it’s useless

The adapter works ok but you can only have 2 displays mirrored. When i purchased it was my understanding this would allow me to use 2 displays in an extended desktop mode, not mirrored so I just tossed it aside as i already have a few regular adaptors that i use and work just as well
