I love this machine. It is easy to use, stitches beautifully, and comes with great accessories. It has a great 25 year warranty. Its light weight for portability and has a nice protective case. There are 100 stitches including some really pretty decorative stitches. I can’t wait to sew more with this machine.

This has all the bells and whistles I had in my old Janome, but also has several more feet, and it sews more layers. I love the super large extension.

My old 40+ year old Necchi sewing machine finally died on me. The Janome Mod100-Q is all new to me. I had to review the user manual, watched videos on how to operate the machine and did many test sewing swatches. I am happy with my choice. Only negative is the placement of the presser foot lifter: it is on the side rather than the back of the sewing machine. I am just so used to having the presser foot lifter on the back of the machine. Otherwise, this machine has lots of stitches, auto locking of stitches, slow stitching for those a of us getting familiar with this machine. All-in-all, I like this machine.

I read through the instruction manual which came with the machine. I did not have to download and print it. It was very easy to just sit down and begin sewing. It’s solid and quiet, it does not jump around on the table.

I love this sewing machine. Sewing is so much more enjoyable now. Sews really smooth and is a lot quieter than my previous sewing machine. I wish it had was adjustable pressure foot and sewing case cover actually latchs on rather than just being a cover that goes over it.

I have been sewing for 30 years with a Kenmore sewing machine that my mother gave me as a graduation gift. It still runs great, but I am not able to do free-motion quilting with it. I bought this machine for that purpose–and so that my daughters could sew at the same time. We have already put it to the test here with quilting since we purchased it about three weeks ago, and it sews beautifully. It comes with all that one would need to do quilting as well as the basic feet for general sewing. It is lightweight and would be a great machine to take to classes–one would need to purchase a case as the cover does not attach to the machine. It has many decorative stitches–does not have an alphabet. I have heard that Janome machines have a great track record in regard to maintenance-free computer components. I am hoping that though this isn’t the top of the line, that we will have the same fortune with it that I have had with my old Kenmore. Thanks, Home Depot, for selling these. I was surprised to see it available with you at a great price!
