If you are looking for a robust sewing machine, this is not it!It is great for light sewing or kids sewing because it is a slower speed and pretty easy to use. My 6 year old loves it! She is a beginner and this is perfect for her!I originally bought it as a backup for me in sewing face masks, but this machine cannot handle the multiple layers of fabric. It is a great little machine for everyday sewing.

I bought the machine for my daughter’s 12 birthday. She loves it! It was a great value especially for someone starting out. The written use instructions were a little confusing for a beginner, but we found a number of YouTube videos that gave great instructions.

So far the sewing machine seems to be child friendly. I wish it had a light on it but it does have a child finger protection which is why I got it for my granddaughter. It seems to work pretty good so far. Wish it had a guide on the right by the bobbin casing to help her guide a straight line.
