I’ve seen their heavy material to make purses and I will always ha e this 3900 model for my heavy stuf. The best thing I ever bought. Such a gift to have . I’ve had this machine for a few days and so far Im very happy. I purchased the Janome 1000 first which stitched nicely except the front load bobbin kept jamming. I ended up returning it. This machine is quieter, has a top load bobbin, love the bobbin winder, the set up for threading is easier and has a few other features not available with the 1000. For $89 more the extra features are well worth the price.
