Featuring a closed-back over-ear design and memory foam earpads, this headset is intended to keep you focused on the action while remaining comfortable. An adjustable and removable boom mic on the left earcup provides directional pickup, while controls facilitate hands-on adjustments. Internally, the headset features 40mm dynamic drivers, delivering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Compatible with Windows Sonic Spatial Sound, the Quantum 100 is ready to rock with the surround sound system found on both Windows and Xbox One. Just recently received my JBL QUANTUM 100 and I couldn’t be happier. It’s very lightweight so you don’t even feel it on. As always with JBL the sounds are astounding. The flexible and removable mic is also an awesome feature with the ability to mute at a single touch of a button. Works well on any platform and is excellent for private video chats and video appointments with your loved ones or Doctor. I even tried with my MacBook Pro FaceTime feature and it worked great. Super highly recommended.

Received these bad boys and immediately got to testing out the capabilities and was immediately surprised by the sound stage especially gaming on my Xbox. Sound was crisp and clear and especially on call of duty. You can hear people running behind you and that gave you a quick heads up to be ready to take them down. The mic was impressive also. Nice and clear with no lag. So I’m overall impressed with the build of the headphones and even listening for a couple of hours/ gaming, I had no head fatigue where they would hurt on other brands. Very comfy. These are my go to right now for gaming.

My Wife bought the Quantum 100 for are grandson and the mic quit working two days after Christmas, Call support and got some guy that I couldn’t hear sounded like he was mumbling on the phone tried every thing even a different controller and nothing wast of money

I have been looking for a new headset for a while and went with these as a result of being happy with other JBL products. The headphones are lightweight but are made with quality materials. I can’t tell if the earpieces are replaceable. The removable microphone has excellent pickup quality, and the jack is recessed with the shape of a pill cross-section with the jack offset to one side, such that the mic does not swivel. The cord is not removable, but seems to be of high quality. The most outstanding feature, to me, is comfort. The size, shape, angle, and cushion of the circumaural cups makes them easy to wear with glasses on, and they do not give me a headache. The headband cushion is wide and textured, and does not pull at my hair like many faux-leather cushions do. They do not come with an adapter to split the 3.5 mm jack into separate headset and mic jacks, so for those with a PC that require this setup to use a headset, that item will need to be purchased separately or, as in my case, already owned. The analog volume control and SPST push button mic control are a nice touch. And after a few years of using a wireless headset, it’s very convenient to never worry about whether or not my headset is charged. Overall, I would recommend these and may be interested in one of the higher-tier Quantum headsets, if they only came in color schemes that were somewhat less brash.

The sound quality is descent, fairly light so it feels good when wearing. I like the fact you can detach the mic, JBL was very sneaky and made the port in a way you MUST use their mic, it will not fit anything else. Now, here is the bad part, one side stopped working within 2 days of having the headset, because of the price, I decided to open and see the components instead of returning it… Extremely cheap made, JBL decided to cut corners to lower cost in every single step of the headset. You might get lucky and get one that lasts but my advice is to stay away, not worth it.

I bought these a couple months ago. I was looking for over ear headphones that had good sound quality and had a mic I could use if I was playing games. They are super comfortable, pretty good sound quality for the price. I like that the mic is removable for when I just want to use them as normal headphones and not a headset. Unfortunately in less than 3 months with frequent but gentle use the wire by the jack has to be at a specific angle for the left side to work. It would have been 5 stars if they didn’t break so quickly.
